Erdogan spoke at a dinner event organized by the Turkish American National Steering Committee in New York.
“Vicious attacks” on actual people are routine in Islam, but to Erdogan and his Islamic supremacist ilk, the only “vicious attacks” worthy of note are criticism of Islam and desecration of the Qur’an.
Inherent in Erdogan’s message is the implication that when infidels insult Islam, it is their fault if there is any violent fallout; they incited and provoked that fallout. The only option for infidels in Erdogan’s view is to accept the Islamic perspective and adopt Sharia blasphemy law.
The zealous attempts by Muslims in the West to stifle the freedom of speech are precisely what has given rise to the desecrations of the Qur’an. Western protests against the human rights abuses that Islam justifies have included Muhammad cartoons and Qur’an burnings. Erdogan wants all such resistance to end. Islamic supremacists demand that the world submit to Sharia. Muslim “values” which conflict with Western laws, rights and freedoms have no place in the West and must be challenged; otherwise, the West will continue to lose its own values. The principles opf the basic equality between a man and a woman, and equality between all creeds are not found in Islam. Neither is the right to question or criticize the Sharia.
Erdogan agrees with Taliban doctrine and hopes to revive the Ottoman Empire. His message, which encourages Islamic supremacism, has no place on Western soil. Imagine if a Western leader preached defiance of Islam in an Islamic country; there would be swift consequences.
“Türkiye rejects justification of attacks on Muslim values under freedom of thought: President,” by Servet Günerigök, Anadolu Agency, September 18, 2023:
Türkiye will not accept the justification of attacks on the sacred values of 2 billion Muslims worldwide under the guise of freedom of thought, President Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Sunday.
“To us, these actions are provocations that aim to incite people,” President Erdogan said at a dinner event organized by the Turkish American National Steering Committee in New York.
He recalled that Türkiye pioneered the adoption of resolutions by the United Nations Human Rights Council and the UN General Assembly which view violent actions targeting holy books as violating international law.
“We will continue our efforts in this regard,” he added.
President Erdogan was referring to recent vicious attacks on the Quran, saying if hostility towards Islam is not prevented, perpetrators will become more reckless….

A couple of ideas for consideration:
1. As the commands of the Qur’an are in many cases in conflict with the laws of civilised nations, and as civilised countries are reluctant to ban books, laws may be introduced that Qur’ans may only be circulated in annotated versions which explain how each individual criminal command will be dealt with under the laws of the country in question.
2. Murders of infidel Christians, Jews and Hindus by far exceed the number of Qur’ans burned. In a human effort to save lives one might think of official, weekly Qur’an burnings in numbers corresponding to the Muslim killings of infidels during the past week?
Just my thoughts, what do you think?

Muslims have no place in the West. The West has as much right to its own culture as Muslims have to theirs.
Road Runner says
I wouldn’t formulate it that way, PMK. Equality is not an option, in light of the continuous incitement in the koran to criminal behaviour.
PMK says
Road Runner,
The point is we have to challenge Muslims who want to live in the West to either conform to Western values or leave. If they want to live by the rules laid down by a seventh century warlord, there are dozens of countries available to them. Freedom-loving people would be well-advised to avoid those countries at all cost. The continuous incitement to murder and violence that comes from the Koran must be confronted and its followers given a choice: assimilate or leave.
James Lincoln says
PMK,
in order for muslims to fully assimilate, they have to stop being muslims – and leave islam.

“vicious attacks” on a book? There was no stabbing, slicing and dicing and bombing; no acid thrown, no poking out of …
mozlums routinely “viciously attack” other humans…stabbing, slicing, dicing, beheading, bombing, running over with large vehicles, raping…with broomsticks and other implements of torture…
Let’s just see this foul creature prevent “thoughts” he doesn’t like.
He may get his way and all nations outlaw burning the book of evil, demonic and unholy filth; placing people in prison if they do burn or tear or spit on the symbol of mozlum adoration for evil.
But he will not stamp out “thoughts” of burning, tearing, spitting on, or any other action one might wish to take regarding that book from satan.

The mozlum gang in NM are finally going to trial for “terrorism” and the kidnapping and death of the little 3 year-old baby boy. The main female in the gang said he needed to be starved to rid his body of whatever she imagined was wrong with him; his little body was found in an underground tunnel.
The gang is also being charged with conspiracy to commit terrorism as they planned attacks from their “compound.”
The AP has the story today.

Well here is some freedom of thought.
allah says he knows all things{koran 2:29} yet clearly all the errors in the koran suggest otherwise.
So allah says he is omniscient and then proves he is NOT omniscient.
allah suffers from a LACK OF OMNISCIENCE.
So allah cannot be God if he does not know ALL things.
Call it critical evaluation if you will.I call it cheery picking as i cheerfully expose the fraudulent koran: a book whose author is impersonating God and is so lacking in omniscience it is a laugh to think allah could be God.

Mr. Erdogan is condemning attacks on sharia made under the “guise” of freedom of thought. So he seems to be okay with attacks on sharia that really are based on freedom of thought, with no guise. That’s progress. Thanks, Recep.

We decry the vicious attacks in the koran under the guise of freedom of religion. When is this book, which incites to many extremely heavy crimes, such as murder (surah 47, verse 4) going to be banned?
