New in PJ Media:
As pro-Palestinian demonstrations take place on campuses all across the nation, the idea is persistent and pervasive: yes, the Hamas attacks on Oct. 7 were terrible, but Israel had it coming because it is an oppressive apartheid state. The “apartheid” word gets thrown around quite a lot in connection with Israel, yet like so many other charges leveled at the Jewish state, there is nothing to it.
As I noted Friday, Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Mogadishu) just denounced Israel’s “systematic apartheid,” and Rep. Rashida Tlaib (D-Ramallah) called for “dismantling the apartheid system that creates the suffocating, dehumanizing conditions that can lead to resistance.” Rep. Cori Bush (D-Hate Whitey) likewise said that “we must do our part to stop this violence and trauma by ending U.S. government support for Israeli military occupation and apartheid.”
Those three great statesmen are by no means alone. Thirty-four student organizations at Harvard University issued a statement proclaiming that they “hold the Israeli regime entirely responsible for all unfolding violence” between Israel and the Palestinians and declaring that “the apartheid regime is the only one to blame.” The leftist Jewish organization If Not Now tweeted Wednesday: “We’re reckoning with the fact that the Israeli government has failed Israelis and Palestinians by perpetuating a system of apartheid for decades, without concern for the consequences to their citizens. That’s what’s led us here.”
Far-left pundit Marc Lamont Hill tweeted back in 2016 that “Israel is very much, by definition, an apartheid state.” And in 2021, the far-left Human Rights Watch issued a report that claimed that Israel was implementing apartheid policies; the establishment media, of course, eagerly jumped on.
The only thing that’s lacking from the left’s scenario is any actual apartheid. The term “apartheid” comes from South Africa, where it referred to a system of institutionalized racial segregation and discrimination that was in place from 1948 to 1991. The word itself means “separateness,” and South Africa instituted numerous laws to keep the races apart in schools, workplaces, and areas where the public gathered, such as beaches.
There is absolutely nothing like this in Israel. As my Jihad Watch colleague Hugh Fitzgerald has explained: “In Israel, Arabs sit on the Supreme Court, serve in the Knesset, go abroad as ambassadors. The chairman of Israel’s largest bank, Bank Leumi, is an Arab. Jews and Arabs work in the same factories and offices, play on the same sports teams and in the same orchestras, act in the same films, are treated in the same hospitals by both Jewish and Arab medical personnel, attend the same classes in the same universities. Jews and Arabs own restaurants and start high-tech businesses together. The only difference in their treatment is that Jews must, while Arabs may, serve in the military.”
There is more. Read the rest here.

If you read the propaganda on this, they say that “palestinians” are denied citizenship and are left stateless. However that isn’t true for those inside Israel. The problem for Israel is that have accepted a half -measure in Jeruselum and the Gaza strip. In our modern world, when a nation conquers territory through war, they must either expell the people there or make them citizens. Otherwise the problem never goes away. Now with Gaza they will again be faced with future jihad no matter if they clear out Hamas, because they will not either clear the whole place out, nor make those remaining citizens. Not that they should make them citizens — because of Islam, that is not a good idea at all.

Like I’ve said on occasion, we need to stop treating “Apartheid” as a pejorative. Yeah, South Africa under that regime was bad, but way more functional than today’s ANC regime that’s been in power ever since the 90s. What was Apartheid? The institutionalized segregation of a society based on certain criteria – be it race, ethnicity or anything else
Given everything we know today about how muslims act, whether it is in European countries, Israel, India or anywhere else, Apartheid is in fact the perfect non-violent solution to the issue of how to have muslims within a country. Have separate townships/homelands (using the same terminology that the South African regime of that era used) for muslims, where others can’t go, and keep muslims restricted to those homelands, and don’t allow them to go to the rest of the country, or integrate w/ the rest of the population. Oh, and all other laws, banning inter-marriage w/ muslims (male OR female) and all that that entails
Yeah, that sounds harsh, but it solves the issue of the muslim human trafficking cartels (love jihad, grooming gangs, et al), since muslims are no longer allowed into infidel spaces, nor infidels into muslim ones. It solves the issue of muslims violating native shrines, be it the Louvre or Devbhoomi in the Himalayas. It stops muslims from earning money from infidels, which is then used to finance the jihad
Essentially, it “walls off” muslims areas in any country, & forces the muslims to swim or sink on their own, w/ no-contact w/ the infidel world. Do that, and watch them wither on the vine, or return to their countries of origin
FYI says
islam is an an APARTHEID RELIGIOUS cult!
Us Non-muslims[INFIDELS} are the ‘WORST of created beings” {koran 98:6}
muslims are ‘the best community that hath been raised up for mankind” {koran 3:110}
You see?
INFIDELS =scum of the Earth{Can be killed.,enslaved,jizya taxed}
Muslims=best of the best
An infidel is a non-muslim,an ex-muslim and get this: a muslim who is FRIENDS with a non-muslim
{koran 5;51}
No need for the Golden rule/2nd Chief commandment nonsense then in islam..

Those “Human Right Defenders” have simply NO IDEA what Apartheid really is: was borni in Rhodesia (now Zimbabwe), moved to South Africa in 1980 and from there to Israel in 1999, where I currently live.
Therefore, I know what I’m talking about and can fully afirm that Israel is EXACTLY THE OPPOSITE OF AN APARTHEID STATE.

Great article. The term “Apartheid state” is used constantly in the UK by (mainly) the Pakistanis. The other term “terrorist state” by the same people.
Ironic really because Pakistan is in no way secular, multicultural or tolerant.
Gaza has turned itself into a terrorist state. Their only industry is making arms, the population are living in squalor yet have have spent infinite man-hours digging tunnels, etc, etc. Truly, Gaza is a terrorist state; whereas Israel is the exact opposite.
