Manitoba Premier Wab Kinew, who has served as the leader of the socialist-leaning New Democrat Party and has a criminal past, wants to see Gaza refugees come to the province of Manitoba. Never mind their raging jihad “resistance” against the Jewish state. Kinew went so far as to write a letter to Justin Trudeau, whose Liberal government recently voted in favor of a UN resolution demanding an “immediate humanitarian ceasefire” in Gaza.
Gilad Erdan, the Israeli Ambassador to the UN, addresses the UN on what a call for a ceasefire really means HERE.
According to statistics, some 14,345 Jews live in Manitoba. That is the fifth largest Jewish population in Canada, following Ontario, Quebec, British Columbia and Calgary, in that order. Manitoba’s Muslim population is about 20,000. Arab and Muslim countries “loudly proclaim their support” for the “Palestinian cause, yet refuse to accept Gaza refugees,” but Wab Kinew stands ready and eager to accept them, despite the obvious implications. It’s a severely divisive issue that has gone global, and the province of Manitoba is no exception. This month, antisemitic posters were found in “several buildings” on the University of Manitoba campus. A month before that, antisemitic graffiti on a pedestrian underpass prompted Winnipeg Jewish Federation president Belle Jarniewski to state:
I don’t think I’ve ever felt unsafe until this last month..I’ve never seen or heard the kind of vitriol expressed by so many people, publicly without shame… the “temperature has really been turned up” since the latest conflict between Israel and Hamas began in early October.
Winnipeg is the capital and largest city in the province of Manitoba. If Premier Wab Kinew’s request to bring Gazan refugees to Manitoba is honored by Trudeau, the “temperature” will be much higher for Manitoba’s Jewish population.
Meanwhile, “Ramsey Zeid, president of the Canadian Palestinian Association of Manitoba, said he appreciated Kinew’s letter.” Should Gazan refugees be accepted into Manitoba, will they be screened on their support for Hamas? Almost certainly not.
“Manitoba premier pens letter to Trudeau expressing province’s willingness to take in refugees from Gaza,” ICI Radio Canada, December 18, 2023:
Kinew cites impact ongoing war between Israel, Hamas has on civilians, children
Manitoba’s premier sent a letter to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau Friday expressing his “deep concern” about the “dire humanitarian situation unfolding in Gaza” and said Canada should take in refugees.
Wab Kinew wrote in his letter to the prime minister that while Manitoba’s government was pleased to see Canada vote in favour of a non-binding United Nations resolution calling for an “immediate humanitarian ceasefire” earlier this week, he said there is more work to be done. Part of that work would be bringing refugees to Canada and Kinew said Manitoba’s doors will be open….

Manitoba deserves what it gets for electing a douche bag globalist. I wonder if he asked his constituents if they want to be over run by illiterate violent savages?

Calling for an immediate ceasefire by Israel, but not by hamas. What does Trudeau think we are, idiots? Let hamas keep up its killings, but make Israel shut up and lie down to be killed by hamas. No Gaza refugees in Canada. ever. Make Trudeau go back to manufacturing pots and pans.

No kidding he has a record! Obviously he’s comfortable with violence. Why elect him and why let him flood law-abiding areas with jihadis at taxpayer expense?
“On February 24, 2003, Kinew was arrested in Winnipeg, after he was spotted erratically driving his father’s 2000 Dodge Dakota by Henderson Highway late in the evening. A witness testified in court that they followed Kinew for several kilometres and saw him lose control of his vehicle twice after striking a guard rail and street light. Kinew continued to drive several more kilometres with a blown-out front tire before police caught up to him at a parkade. Police reported Kinew as having bloodshot eyes and slurred speech, as well as being unsteady on his feet. A near-empty bottle of gin that was purchased that afternoon was found in the back seat. Kinew refused to undergo a breathalyzer after being taken into custody.[47] For this incident, Kinew was convicted of impaired driving.[47]
In June 2003, Kinew was charged by the RCMP with two counts of domestic assault related to allegations that he threw his then-girlfriend, Tara Hart, across a room during an argument.[48] A Crown attorney and Kinew’s lawyer appeared in court several times between January and June 2004.[49] The charges were subsequently stayed. Kinew denies the allegations, while Hart has continued to maintain otherwise.[48][49] These charges were previously unknown to most during Kinew’s public life, only coming to light in 2017 via anonymous emails sent to Winnipeg media outlets. Hart has said that she can only recall one alleged assault and does not know why two charges were filed. She claims that after she left Kinew, she was living outside Winnipeg and never heard from the Crown on why the charges were stayed.[49]
On June 27, 2004, while bound by a court recognizance on his previous DUI charge, Kinew was arrested following an altercation with a taxi driver. Kinew was intoxicated when he caught the cab shortly before 5 in the morning. According to the Crown prosecutor, Kinew “began to insult the [cab driver] with some racial comments which continued until the driver reached the intersection of Portage Avenue and Fort Street.” While stopped at a red light, Kinew exited the vehicle, approached the driver’s side door window, which was open, and punched the driver in the face. A passerby yelled out and momentarily interrupted the assault. When the driver exited the cab, Kinew pushed him to the ground and kicked him, according to CBC News. Kinew attempted to flee the scene when police arrived, and Kinew declined to discuss the incident after being taken into custody. The taxi driver suffered a small laceration to his elbow and swelling to his face.[50] On page 70 of his 2015 memoir, The Reason You Walk, Kinew claimed he had grabbed a cab with friends and “hopped out without paying,” after which:[24]
[T]he driver caught up with us and pushed me. I turned around and shoved him back. A passing cabbie saw what was happening, stopped his taxi and jumped out to help his fellow driver. He swung and hit me in the face. I grabbed him and swung back. We stood in the middle of the street, arms flailing in full-on hockey fight mode. The police showed up and tackled me.
It has been pointed out that Kinew’s account of the incident in his book heavily differs from what was heard in court during his 2004 sentencing hearing.[24]
Also in 2004, Kinew was given a conditional discharge for an assault in Ontario after getting into a fight.[51][52] Kinew also claims that in 2006 he was charged with stealing a money order, but that charge was stayed when he repaid the money.[52]
Kinew has gone through various exercises to rehabilitate himself from his issues with alcohol, including attending sweat lodges and a sun dance event where he fasted for four days and pulled buffalo skulls by piercings cut into his body. Kinew also began attending regular Alcoholics Anonymous meetings.”

Good God.And after all that, Kinew was still elected to high office? Thank you, Hoi Polloi, for all that information.

Astounding, isn’t it? I expected a disputed charge, maybe. You’re welcome; I love your work here.

I thought that Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta and British Columbia were more conservative than the East half of the country. What happened?
If all of Canada is screwed, and not just Ontario, then we need to build a wall on our Northern border as well, not just the Southern
jaime says
For well over 20 years BC has been the most left leaning province. As for Alberta in part its the people moving from Ontario etc but the bigger issue is the far right gov even for those right leaning they have gone to far.As for a wall the only one that would do that is Trump and i don’t see him winning he is getting a ton of push back by many in the GOP.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Don’t mistake congressional opposition for grassroots opposition within the GOP. Trump is right now on a roll, and short of assassination, I don’t see him being stopped. And if they wanna do the latter, they’ll have to somehow do it thru the secret service, since nobody can go through that
Where in Canada is there a “far right” government? Does the PPC have any state premierships?
jaime says
If Trump had a big lead in the polls i would agree but most polls he is tied with Biden. Now say he wins and dopes everything he says he will the western world would put very heavy sanctions on the states they would be treated like Russia or North Korea. The states would lose billions a day and with in a year Trump would feel presure to step down. The PPC has no chance last poll they were around 0.05%.

After reading Kinew’s Curriculum Vitae two big question marks dangle above the guy’s head like the hangman’s noose (x2).
1. What was the ethnic background of the taxi driver whose face he punched?
2. How is it possible for such person, in a Western democracy, to become the Premier of a State?
Is the answer to 2 that if you are an indigenous person you are treated like an 8 year old and are never sent to prison for anything because you are deemed incapable of sinning against society?
