Kashmir: Islamic jihadis kill five Indian soldiers in ambush, mutilate their bodies

Five Indian soldiers were reported killed and several others injured when Islamic terrorists ambushed an army convoy in the northern Indian region of Kashmir. Jihadist attackers mutilated the bodies of at least four of their victims before fleeing the scene, Indian media reports confirm.

“Bodies of the four soldiers killed in an ambush yesterday in the Rajouri Sector were mutilated by terrorists before fleeing from the spot,” Indian newspaper The Statesman reported December 22. “Images from the site show the blood-soaked road, broken helmets of soldiers, rifle magazines, and shattered windscreens of the two Army vehicles.”

The Pakistan-based Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM) Islamic terrorist group took responsibility for the terrorist attack. “People’s Anti-Fascist Front (PAFF), a proxy outfit of the terror group Jaish-e-Mohammed, has claimed responsibility for the attack,” the news network India TV reported.

In the past, jihadists belonging to the PAFF have used bodycams to film their depraved cruelties against Indians, just as Hamas terrorists did during the October 7 massacre of innocent Israelis — including elderly, women and infants. “The PAFF is known to use body cameras to film their attacks. The terror group then uses the films for propaganda,” the New Delhi-based NDTV noted.

Five soldiers were killed and two injured when heavily-armed terrorists ambushed two Army vehicles in Jammu and Kashmir’s Poonch district on Thursday, officials told news agency PTI. The attack took place at Dhatyar Morh between Dhera Ki Gali and Bufliaz around 3:45 pm, officials said.

Sources told India Today TV that the Dhatyar Morh location in Poonch district was chosen by terrorists to attack as the Army vehicles slowed down at this point due to a blind curve and bumpy road. The terrorists positioned themselves atop a hill at Dhatyar Morh between Dhera Ki Gali and Bufliaz, from where they fired bullets at the two Army vehicles, sources said.

Terrorists may have done a recee at the attack site where the two Army vehicles — a truck and a Maruti Gypsy — were ambushed, sources said, adding that three or four of them were believed to be involved in the attack.

The Army vehicles were ambushed by the terrorists at Dhatyar Morh when they slowed down at the blind curve. Security forces had retaliated, but terrorists managed to flee from that location, sources further said. (…)

Meanwhile, Border Security Force (BSF) Inspector-General (IG) Ashok Yadav said soldiers were alert and cautious in the border area to eliminate any attempts of infiltration by terrorists.

He said 250 to 300 terrorists were waiting to infiltrate India according to intelligence inputs, adding that security forces were ready to prepare for any eventuality….
