Erdogan’s son: Turning Hagia Sophia into a mosque was ‘the first step towards freedom for Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa’

This is the son of the president of a NATO member and ostensible U.S. ally, and he says: “We know that those who are creating artificial agendas and trying to divide us, who are trying to dilute the Palestinian cause, are the agents of influence of America and Israel.”

Turkey should not be in NATO or be considered a U.S. ally, which it is not. But in Washington, such talk is dismissed as “Islamophobic.”

Bilal Erdoğan, son of Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, called in a January 1, 2024 address that was posted on Haber House on YouTube for a boycott of Israel. He said that the boycott of Israel would not end with a ceasefire. Erdoğan stated that his father “breaking the fetters” of Hagia Sophia by converting it back into a mosque was the first step towards freedom for Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque. Hagia Sophia was a built as a church, converted into a mosque and then into a museum. In July 2020, it was converted back into an operational mosque. Bilal Erdoğan is a businessman, he is a graduate of Indiania [sic] University Bloomington and Harvard University.

Bilal Erdoğan: “On October 7, the Nazism of Israel began one of the bloodiest massacres in history.

“We cannot be indifferent, because Jerusalem is our first direction of prayer, and because the Al-Aqsa Mosque is our sacred house of worship. We cannot be indifferent, because from [Caliph] Umar to Saladin, to [Sulan] Selim I, our ancestors who came before us watered this soil with the blood of the martyrs, and enabled the members of the tree [Abrahamic] religions to live in tranquility in these lands.

“We know that those who are causing the genocide in Palestine are the same as the killers of our martyrs. We know that those who are creating artificial agendas and trying to divide us, who are trying to dilute the Palestinian cause, are the agents of influence of America and Israel. We know that breaking the fetters of Hagia Sophia under the leadership of our president was the first step towards freedom for Jerusalem and Al-Aqsa.

“We promise that we will continue the boycott. Istanbul, do we promise to continue the boycott? This will not end with a ceasefire. For as long as the Palestinian cause continues, we are going to make room for the boycott in our lives.”

    It is high time to recognise that Islam is our enemy No. 1.

    • The thieving and murderous Islam lies and steals land which then becomes muslim for eternity. It’s time for them to face Divine Justice from the real and only God who created the Universe and life everywhere, even the life of muslims,which we know that it is the only mistake God ever made.

    • Jerusalem is not mentioned even once in the Qur’an. It is suggested in Hadiths written Centuries AFTER Mohammad’s death that it was the location of the Northern Mosque mentioned in the Qur’an.

      The two most common ISLAMIC sayings are ‘Allah Akbar’, and ‘Mine … Mine … Mine’.

    Kick Turkey out of NATO and free Constantinople.

      Also, I know that logic is haram in islam, but how does this work? How does turning Hagia Sophia into a mosque make it more likely that Israel will lose control of either Jerusalem or al Aqsa? The day any of the religious Jewish parties in Israel that want to get back the Temple Mount come to power, they can decide to repossess the plot, demolish the mosque and that’ll end that delusion of getting back al Aqsa

  5. Hagia Sophia was an Orthodox Christian cathedral for almost a thousand years before colonial Imperialist Islam conquered Constantinople and desecrated the church by turning it into a mosque. Typical of colonial Islam.

  6. The whole claim on the Temple Mount is a fabrication, more fake injection of Islam into existing Christianity. Someday the al-Aqsa Mosque and the “Golden Pimple” will be gone or be relics like those in ancient Greece and Rome.

    We may not live long enough to see it gradually happen. Islam has no contribution to give today’s world anymore than the mythological gods of Greece. What it considers its strength, submission of humans, is its weakness, tying its members down to a ritualized life, unable to generate new ideas.

    • At least though, Greco-Roman myth, Norse myth and Aesop’s Fables have given the world some amazing art, literature and philosophy, without calling for genocide and plundering of outsiders and non-beluvers for the most part.

      Yes, I know about the Vikings for example, but Norse myth per se didn’t encourage or prescribe their pillage and excesses.

      • True, Mike. The contribution of Islam to art and music doesn’t rise above tile designs and grand Mosque architecture. Arabs would make claims of great literature and poetry by claiming that pre-Muhammad history was Islamic, back to Moses – which is preposterous.

He means annihilation of the Christians is the first step to annihilate the Jews because it is the Christians who really support Israel, So far, seems like the Christians who will be first disappeared before the Jews if we see the trend in the west. Fortunately, Christianity is growing in non western world.

  8. After hearing so much of Islam’s recent talk about their ascendancy in the modern world, closing off the Mediterranean Sea, and the imminent arrival of the worldwide Caliphate, an image came to me spontaneously of a Montgolfier hot-air balloon bobbing about on a runway at Heathrow Airport.

    They’ve got their work cut out for themselves. Conquering dhimmi Europe by way of their “wombmen” is ongoing but they’ll get nowhere with the huge Hindu population of India, the billions of Chinese, and the Dictator for Life Putin (and most likely, posthumously, his gigantic hologram astride the onion turrets of the Kremlin).

    • True, but China made a big mistake with their one child policy. Due to a cultural preference for sons, there are now some 32 million men who cannot find wives.

      Furthermore, although some people claim that the policy prevented nearly 400 million births, it may have likely only prevented roughly 100 million births.

      Also, in balance, those 100 million extra people would have largely been an asset and not a liability. They might have helped China’s average age stay young, and helped China avoid a large gender imbalance. Plus, many of them could have emigrated to other countries.

  11. Crime bosses, like Zelensky, Putin, Xi, Biden, and all the rest, for that is what they all are, hide behind doing well, pretending to be concerned- but their bank accounts and possessions show them for what they are! Two-bit crime bosses.
