This is a pattern that has been followed throughout the world. Muslims have established numerous mosques on the sites of former synagogues, churches, and Hindu temples, in order to declare the victory and supremacy of Islam. Although this is a worldwide and consistent pattern, it is almost universally ignored and denied.
“Mosque being built on land of Kantajew Temple in Dinajpur,” Dhaka Tribune, March 24, 2024:
The construction of a mosque on the land of the historic Kantajew Temple in Kaharul Upazila of Dinajpur has triggered tension and frustration among the local Hindu community.
Ranjit Kumar Singh, agent of Raj Debtara Estate, said there is a total of 62.46 acres in the name of the temple. These lands have updated CS, SA and land tax records.
However, local people recently started the construction of a mosque on the land. Member of Parliament (MP) of Dinajpur-1 constituency, Md Zakaria Zaka, inaugurated the construction.
This has enraged the Hindu community in the area. The piece of land is looked after by the Dinajpur deputy commissioner’s office.
Besides, there is a committee formed by the Raj Debtara Estate that looks after the supervision and maintenance of the land.
The Bangladesh Hindu Buddhist Christian Unity Council has expressed deep concern over the construction work on the land behind the temple of Kantajew, a historical archaeological monument….

Isn’t that always the case? Just like the mosques in Jerusalem built on the Temple Mount where the first two Jewish Temples stood.

Why would this even matter. Bangladesh is an islamic nation they respect no one.

From the word-salad that I could dig up from Wiki:
One can make one’s own conclusions whether or not that country is secular. But Graven is right as far as the ground reality goes

Those protesting this are SOL. Not only won’t the Bangladesh regime care, but India, under its faux-Hindu government, won’t bat an eyelid before giving Bangladesh future gifts at the cost of Hindu taxpayers

Well of course that’s in your face muslim/islamic cult ideology. The special people, after all they are better at violence, rape and murder than most everyone else.

Yes–Muslims have done this all over the world, and throughout their history.
So this today in Bangladesh sadly does not at all surprise.
