Trudeau lied. Although the title below states: “Trudeau says no decision made on UNRWA funding but Canada will ‘protect innocent lives,’” Trudeau’s lie is clear, since Canada did not pause payments to UNRWA, as it said it would back in January. According to the National Post: “Canada has not missed a payment since announcing the pause in funding in January. Its payment of $25 million for this year isn’t due until April.” The Toronto Sun states that “the Trudeau government never paused funding to UNRWA, despite claiming to do so in January when a dozen staffers were accused of participating in or aiding Hamas’ Oct. 7 terrorist attack on Israel.”
Trudeau justified funding to UNRWA, stating: “We know how important it is to get aid into Gaza to help families, innocent civilians, the people who have been devastated by the past two months facing starvation facing instability and uncertainty.” Yet how does Trudeau justify his stance, considering that Hamas intentionally targeted innocent people? Hamas and UNRWA are intertwined, as UNRWA’s Commissioner General, Philippe Lazzarini has indicated: “Our employees are part of the social fabric in Gaza and its ecosystem. And as part of the social fabric in Gaza, you also have Hamas.” IDF recently released audio recordings of UNRWA staff who participated in the October 7 attacks, and it was revealed that “young women were treated like animals” and were referred to in Islamic terms as “sabaya” — that is, “sex slaves.”
Canada also plans to issue temporary three-year visas for Palestinian “relatives of Canadian citizens and permanent residents.”
At least six Canadians were reported dead and two more are missing in the October 7 savagery against Israel: Shir Georgy, Ben Mizrachi, Alexandre Look, Adi Vital-Kaploun, Netta Epstein, Vivian Silver, Judith Weinstein Haggai and Tiferet Lapidot. Meanwhile, in the U.S., legal action has been launched on behalf of a group of survivors of October 7. The lawsuit “has been filed in a U.S. district court against the American fundraising arm of UNRWA, in the first direct legal case against the U.N. Palestinian refugee agency for its role in the Oct. 7 Hamas massacre.”
“Trudeau says no decision made on UNRWA funding but Canada will ‘protect innocent lives,’” National Post, March 7, 2024:
OTTAWA — Prime Minister Justin Trudeau said his government has not made a decision on restoring funding to the United Nations Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA), but any choice it makes will be based on protecting civilian lives.
Trudeau made the comments Thursday in response to questions from reporters after media reports indicated the government was considering restoring funding to the UN agency that provides relief in Gaza.
“We’re not making any announcements today. But we will continue to make sure Canada does the right thing in this situation and puts the protection of civilian life at the forefront of everything we do,” he said.
Canada and many other western nations suspended funding to the agency after Israel accused employees of UNWRA of having participated in the Oct. 7 attacks. Hamas launched raids in several Israeli communities on that day resulting in the deaths of 1,200 people with another 250 taken hostage.
Israel responded to the attack with an invasion of Gaza, which has led to an estimated 30,000 deaths. The region has had limited aid supplies since the conflict began and aid agencies have raised concerns about starvation.
Minister of International Development Ahmed Hussen was set to hold a press conference on Wednesday morning alongside UN Ambassador Bob Rae, but that event was abruptly cancelled…..

There are still a handful of Canadians who do not see the real Justine. Klaus Schwab is very proud of his “young global leader, Justine Trudeau”.
