Actually you are wrong. There are plenty of muslims who are terribly polite and courteous and honorable…. but it goes only so far for oh so many. When it comes to their religion, once someone marries into their world, it’s that way or the highway. I tried to mention this last night, at my synogogue, where Shabbas services were under way. We were having a meal, prior to the prayers, and one fellow asserted that muslims pray to the same g-d as we do.
I listened to this terrible misunderstanding from a good man who just wanted to find something good to say, but didn’t realize what he was doing. I said, ‘ then tell me what it means when a muslim screams ‘Allahu Akbar’? It means Allah is greater, than your g-d. And of course no Jew ever screams anything like this at another person unless they have mental illness or some other defective quality.

I’ve served as an elder in a Christian church, and would never encourage an interfaith marriage (even if I’m the product of one). Also, having served as a US consular officer, I’ve heard too many horror stories of Muslim-Kufr marriages gone bad.
