The Palestinian Authority wants to use different tactics from the terror groups. It favors diplomatic pressure on Israel, so that it will agree to be squeezed back within the 1949 armistice lines, leaving the Jewish state stripped of the West Bank and, especially, of the Jordan Valley, control of which is so critical to Israel’s defense against an invader from the east. Israel within the “pre-1967 lines” (that is how the Arabs refer to the 1949 armistice lines) would have a nine-mile-wide waist from Qalqilya to the sea. The country could then be cut in two by a tank corps within a matter of hours.
New York Senator Chuck Schumer thinks the annihilationist goal of Hamas will be set aside if the Palestinians are given a state of their own, on territory ripped from the state of Israel. In fact, any Palestinian state will simply become the new starting point for a continued war against Israel. Such a state would whet, not sate, Arab appetites for seizing what remains of a much more vulnerable Israel. But Schumer claims such a state could be “demilitarized.” What gives him the assurance that such a promise of demilitarization of their state by the Palestinians would be kept? How hard would it be for arms to be brought into this new state of Palestine from Lebanon, or from Syria, or airdropped into “Palestine” by Iran? War is deceit, said Muhammad in a famous Hadith. Why should Israel trust its very existence to people who revere Muhammad’s treaty-making with the Meccans at Al-Hudaibiyya in 628 A.D., a “truce” treaty that was supposed to last ten years, but after 18 months, sensing that his side had been sufficiently strengthened, Muhammad broke the treaty and attacked the Meccans? Pacta sunt servanda — treaties are to be obeyed — is a hallmark of Western, not Islamic, law.
The third “obstacle to peace,” in Schumer’s view (we examined the first two here), is Israel’s “radical far-right government.
This is actually a repetition of the first “obstacle to peace” which Schumer identifies as Benjamin Netanyahu, precisely because he heads “a radical far-right government.” In fact, Netanyahu’s government is neither “radical” nor even “far-right,” but “right of center.” Of the 36 ministers in the current government (some have more than one portfolio) only two — Bezalel Smotrich and Itamar Ben Gvir — can be called “radical far-right,” but their more sulfurous outbursts against Netanyahu have not moved him. Neither Ben Gvir nor Smotrich is a member of the war cabinet. Does Schumer know that Netanyahu frequently opposes those two “far-right” ministers? But when it comes to Netanyahu, Schumer has such a visceral dislike that he can hardly see straight. Never mind who the people of Israel voted for in a democratic election. Chuck Schumer knows better than the Israeli electorate what Israel needs.

The US government should demand that Israel conduct itself with a future two-state solution in mind, Schumer said. “We should not be forced into a position of unequivocally supporting the actions of an Israeli government that includes bigots who reject the idea of a Palestinian state,” he said.
Nota bene: anyone who rejects the “idea of a Palestinian state” is, according to Schumer, a “bigot.” Why is that? Is it bigotry to want Israel to survive with defensible borders, as UN Security Resolution 242 requires? Is it “bigotry ”to believe that with five million square miles and 22 states, the Arabs do not need a twenty-third, if that twenty-third one will inevitably constitute a mortal threat to the one exceedingly tiny Jewish state? Is it “bigotry” to believe that the Muslim Arabs will never reconcile themselves to Israel, because they will never abandon the supreme duty of jihad?
Schumer never mentions the Qur’an in his speech. He doesn’t mention such jihad verses as 2:191-193, 8:12, 8:60, 9:5, 9:29, 47:4, or the verse proclaiming Muslims to be the “best of peoples” (3:110), while Infidels are the “most vile of created beings” (98:6). Has he even read the Qur’an? What does Schumer think Muslims think when they read Qur’an 2:191 — “Kill them wherever you find them, and drive them out from where they drove you out”? Does he think Muslims don’t really take the Qur’an seriously? Why?

Why doesn’t someone just set Schumer down and tell him the facts or will he just not listen,to Anyone? It’s also a shame that they don’t have classes in schools to teach the Facts to students or a t.v. program to teach people sitting in their chairs or whatever. The control mechanisms are so great that individuals will sublimate their own previous attitudes to that of the Imam or group. This was demonstrated clearly when the people of a settlement were attacked by Hamas using information given by Muslims who worked for and feigned friendship to the settlement.

It is so obvious that Hamas and the Palestinian Authority are not interested in a two state solution. Both of these groups want a one state solution where all the land is Palestinian land and the nation of Israel is destroyed and the Jewish people dead and gone.

Why is it that no one tells France, Belgium, Denmark and other victorious countries that they must return land to Germany that was taken after WWI and WWII? While the taking from Germany and Austria were the consequences of initiating a war with their neighbors and trying to force Israel to surrender territory to an enemy that also began a war and is losing would be laughable were it not for the fact that giving up any land would be suicidal.
