“American Anti-War Activists Cheer for Iran’s War,” by Olivia Reingold, The Free Press, April 14, 2024:

CHICAGO — About 300 anti-war activists crowded into the basement of the Teamsters Union’s headquarters on Saturday to hear organizers from all over the country describe their plans to disrupt the Democratic National Convention this August. Joe Biden’s backing of Israel since Hamas’s October 7 attack has turned these left-wing radicals against their own party.

“It’s really inspiring to see that people are just as enthusiastic, and maybe even more enthusiastic, to march on the DNC as they are to march on the RNC,” says Omar Flores, a Milwaukee-based activist. “We can thank Genocide Joe and our movement for that.”

But then a man stumbles to the podium, wiping sweat from his forehead. He grabs the microphone to announce that the Islamic regime of Iran has launched missiles and drones heading straight toward Israel.

“They believe that they will be in Palestinian—I don’t call it Israeli—airspace between two and four a.m., which means about two to four hours from now,” he says. “In addition, there are reports of drones having been fired on Israel from Yemen and Iraq.”

The crowd, all wearing black N95s, erupts into applause. Someone in the back lowers their mask to send a celebratory whistle soaring throughout the room.

The man at the podium, Hatem Abudayyeh, heads the U.S. Palestinian Community Network, “a purported community group which, on information and belief, is an affiliate of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, a designated terror organization based in Gaza,” according to a lawsuit over the alleged relations between U.S. advocacy groups and Hamas.

“This is when this country and the world needs us because the United States is going to, quote unquote, defend the criminal Israeli state,” says Abudayyeh, whose home was raided by the FBI in 2010 as part of an investigation “concerning the material support of terrorism.”…

Earlier that day, before news of the attack broke, at a “breakout session” on “the anti-war movement,” Shabbir Rizvi, an organizer with Anti-War Committee Chicago, taught participants how to chant “death to Israel” and “death to America” in Farsi.

“Marg bar Israel,” he chanted, leading a group of about 80 attendees along with him. A man draped in a Soviet flag bearing a gold hammer and sickle clapped his hands.

A man in a full black denim outfit shouted out behind his N95—“Can we get a ‘marg bar America’?”

“We can get a ‘marg bar America,’ ” Rizvi replied.

Then Rizvi raised his hand in the air, leading the crowd like a conductor.

“Marg bar America,” they cheered….

  3. It is pretty bloody amazing, you live in a country and chant “death to that country”. Anyone yelling out such traitorous shit should be rounded up and kicked out of the country that they obviously want to destroy. It is sickening. I guess it is really about hatred and wanting to destroy our western way of living life, which most Muslims definitely do, but whether it is “Death to America” or “Death to England” or “Death to Australia” it is sickening and traitorous and these scum should cop a hammering and be deported . If they don’t appreciate the west and the hospitality it has given them, then out you go. Piss off to some hideous, primitive Muslim shithole of a country.

    We can thank President Reagan and his (so-called) crazy idea way back in 1983, the strategic defense initiative, for that. The fools back then mocked Reagan calling that proposal, star wars, trying to hit a bullet with a bullet, foolish, stupid, impossible.

      We cant hit nukes where they have to be hit yet, in outer space using satellites. Out of our atmosphere where the radioactive debris doesn’t hurt the Earth. Not yet we can’t, but it’s coming, eventually.

      • But who knows, maybe we already can. In 1958 DARPA initiated the beginnings of the Internet that worldwide we all rely on today. It was a gradual process. The Internet emerged in the United States in the 1970s but did not become visible to the general public until the early 1990s.

        So who knows what we already know that we dont know we know, yet.

        • I began my transition from construction to computers around 1989 1990. I remember in the mid 90s saying to my girlfriend regarding the somewhat new (visible) Internet. I cannot understand why companies all over the USA aren’t jumping in to this. The benefits are so obvious. I stood by watched as it took many of the big, so-called smart, forward thinking, top men in companies about 10 years to figure it out. And today, they are all online. So who knows, in any times under any given circumstances, some men are smart some men are not so smart.

    I posted a comment on a different thread; it went through.

    I posted a comment, not much different in legnth, here; I got an incomprehensible techno-jargon note telling me I had been bounced.

    This sort of thing is deterring me from attempting to comment at Jihadwatch and is in fact repeatedly PREVENTING me from commenting.

    • DDA, I just do this with long posts:

      Post first half (or however much fits), then end the post with “continued”.

      Start the second (and third in cases of a very long comment) post with “continued” and post the second half. This works.

  9. I tried to post a totally relevant comment here and got bounced, incomprehensibly, by the so-called security thing. I have no idea why because I did nothing different from when I posted a previous comment, on a different thread, that went through.
    Or is it that if I try to post more than once in any given period of time I will be identified by the firewall as spam and booted? This is driving me nuts. I NEVER used to have this sort of issue before.

  10. I was told by an elderly person that Iran during the Shah’s time was considered as the Switzerland of the Middle East. It seems like Muslims used the Shah as an excuse to achieve the Islamization of Iran as they would use any excuse in the West they can dig up to bring in the Islamization of the West (Taqiya, usefull idiots, Muslim politicians, and all).
    The paradox with the Persians is that the former Persian Zoroastrians, Christians, Jews, Atheists, etc. got Islamized and conquered by their arch enemy of several milleniums – an Arab called Mohammed. I think it starts with soft Islamization which finally ends in hard Islamization as seen in Iran and now ongoing in the West and other non-Muslim societies.
    The mob is summoned, a frenzy created, a trendy catchy phrase is repeated enough times, and before you know it you have all the braindead, simpletons, usefull idiots joining in and chanting without any rational understanding of what is going on.Then when these fools finally get their Islamization and Sharia law they all cry and ask mommy to help. Iran is a Lab experiment of what the outcome will be in the West and other non-Muslim societies if you tolerate Islamization (or worse if the problem is foolishly imported).

    And this is happening in the basement of the Teamster’s Union. I have some mixed feelings about unions, but they never used to call for our enemies to destoy us and our allies.
