    My God, what a collection of young useful idiots America presently has to endure. And if this “enduring” doesn’t end soon, I fear America will end soon. We are raising going on two generations now a confederacy of dunces and wonderful things like liberty and democracy cannot survive if this “trend” continues—a given.

      • Our parents thought we wore strange stuff back in the 70s. Fashion back then was all over the place, and yes, sometimes strange and downright ugly. However, as out there as some of us were we never went in for the livestock look. I thought I had seen it all. I thought I would never say what in the hell is that but here we are.

        • When I worked in a grocery store as night checker (alone except for stockers), I saw all manner of rings in places I would never have imagined. The first time I saw one in a girl’s tongue, gave me the creeps and my tongue, seemingly with its own mind, spent the rest of the night in fear and discomfort. Eye lids, brows, cheeks….and many torso areas…
          And the tatooing…..out of their minds, I say.

        • The first time I saw a man wearing an ear-ring it was a mature sports-jacket and cavalry-twill and desert-boots middle-aged man in an Under-ground station. It was in the late eighties I believe.

    • Ignorant sudent #1 indicates she is from Columbia University where one supposes ignorance and brushing away the savage murderous attack on Israel, by Hamas, also reigns.

      How has the maturity level of university students fallen so low? Perhaps maturity depends upon knowledge and wisdom relies on understanding that knowledge? As Carl Sagan once said, what we can learn in a lifetime is limited. More important is what we learn.

      Has the modern streaming media circus of life, perhaps the modern day equivalent to the Roman Circus, created an entirely insulated generation of delusional followers?

      Let’s do a thought experiment. All of the students calling for the destruction of Israel receive a draft notice that they will be trained to go fight FOR Hamas against Israel. Describe the next demonstration on campus.

      These kids are smoke and mirrors. The only thing they will is do is vote though they do not have the maturity to do so. It was a fatal error to allow 18 year-olds to vote. It was justified on the basis of the Vietnam War draft. No war draft has existed for 51 years while the youth have suffered extended adolescence. If there is ever a popular vote for heavy socialism or communism, here will be the reason.

      The Vietnam Era students protested against War and Corporate America, then they became the most prominent capitalists in American history and funded a non-stop revolving money wheel for the Industrial-Military-Congressional-Weapons-War-Globalist cartel.

      It’s difficult to imagine our children’s future with these “Ivy-League” students leading the nation.

      • I believe that, if your experiment happened, and these rebellious young suddenly had to, as the saying goes, “put their money where their mouth is,” and actually thought they had to go to Gaza and face the Jews in battle, the campus would empty in seconds, leaving only the scattered garbage and tents behind.

  4. I saw the question and the response on the msn….didn’t realize it was the former mayor asking the question.

    One of the professors tried to stop her arrest by proclaiming, “I’m a professor,” as if professors at the universities are exempt from following laws; and resisting the demands of officers should be heeded by said officers.

    The entire world of humankind is growing progressively dumb.

    • I’ve been wondering, John, how the parents of these people are reacting to their children engaging in such lawlessness. Many of the students are going to these places on their parent’s dime; either directly or through co-signing loans.

  8. This is all much more positive than I first thought. The admission that they have no clue is valuable for starting the learning process.

    Universities have degenerated into useless centres of indoctrination, so they have to find their information elsewhere.

    Seek and you shall find!

    PS Even in the Soviet Union the authorities didn’t permit their centres of higher learning to degenerate into centres of political indoctrination. They maintained the highest standards, especially in the field of fundamental research.

  10. It sounds like some kind of send up of a complete airhead type of student. How embarrassing to reply to the question in such an imbecilic way. At least being honest I guess. I suspect that quite a few of the young students who go to the demos go just to be part of some peer group and for the social event, just hanging about with their fellow students. Maybe some also say, hey, I’ve got to attend a demo, I’m a student and every student should attend at least one demo, sort of like ticking it off a young student’s bucket list of things to experience. It certainly is a staggering level of ignorance to display in public. Maybe that’s another thing. The interviewee thinks, hell, I know nothing at all about this issue but, hey, being interviewed is something that everybody should do one day, so she gets interviewed.

    • I used to watch Jay Leno and his “man on the street” interviews where he would ask logical questions, and sometimes about things which were, at that time, absurd.
      Once, the question was about war with Canada, and it was amazing that so many who were asked, actually thought Canada had declared war on the U.S….just because the question was asked..
      And that was years ago.

      • Yes, somehistory, it is stunning how little some people know. In terms of what is going on around them , they might as well be in a coma. I’ve seen people interviewed here in Australia, seemingly just randomly picked, and asked who is the Premier of the state they are living in (I guess the Governor in an American state), and they don’t know who it is. I suppose it might take a very busy person a week or two to find out the name of such an important politician. Maybe these sleepwalking ignoramuses are the reason that the Muslims get away with so much in our countries and still so many people never seem to wake up and realise how evil islam is. In this report, this total ignorance on the part of a university student is pretty stunning. As I said, I suspect quite a lot of the students just go along for a social get together with their friends who are going to the demo…

        • Yes, Tim, people do just tag along. And some of the questions Leno asked concerned famous people…many of them in the news at the time, as you say, the governor of the state. Or who was the first president, which everyone should know, but many didn’t.
          When I was a teenager, there was a night club for the young…not like older people went where alcohol was served, but where rock and roll bands played, teens danced and drank soft drinks (soda/cola)
          Everyone wanted to say they had been there and it was always crowded, so many could sneak in and not be noticed for not having paid the door charge.
          The name of the place was The In Crowd.
          Most everyone wants to belong somewhere and many ignorant people will join stupid groups for all the wrong reasons…if there is even a right reason.

        • Yes, somehistory, I do think that being accepted by the peer group, the in crowd, would be the motivation for some students, such as these students who don’t have any interest or knowledge of the issues involved, going to the demo. One student says, “Hey, are you going to the demo ?”, the other, not wanting to be an outcast, “I wouldn’t miss it”. The unjust hatred of Israel and support for the barbaric Muslim Palestinians seems to extremely trendy in these sick times among the left wing wankers..

  12. I wouldn’t be too harsh on this student. After all, for all intents and purposes it is against the law to teach about Islam in any meaningful way. Whatever discussions that do happen are all loaded down with euphemisms to disguise uncomfortable facts, making the whole process a waste of time.

  16. Back when Barack Obama first ran for President, Howard Stern didcan experiment. He’d send out one of his members to talk to Black people in NYC, who were Obama supporters.

    The staff member would say things like, “Even though Obama is anti-abortion, does that bother you?” Or “Even though Obama opposes LGBT rights, do you still support him?”

    A lot of the people replied, “Oh, that doesn’t bother me so much. I’m still planning to vote for him.” So, it showed they didn’t know very much about Obama, and they were mainly supporting him because he’s Black!

    • I dont think the establishment watchdogs are too concerned about the hezbollah flag. We’ll see their hezbollah flag and raise them with a Gadsden flag and then watch and see which flag gets the most attention from the watchdogs. Within the establishment some flags are scarier than others.

    He evidently has missed the part about “endowed by our Creator,” or doesn’t know that Creator to the people who wrote the document is understood to be God.

    Such a smug ‘journalist’ who doesn’t even know the way journalism works. The lady explained that too, but he took his smugness back to the studio intact.

      However, the phrase “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights” is from the United States Declaration of Independence which is the precursor to the US Constitution.

      • You are right. She didn’t mention exactly what words she meant. Perhaps she had in mind the line about all men being created equal. But that’s in the declaration too, is it not?
        I can never remember which line is in which document.

        But whatever document, the phrase is True and Rights come from our Creator and not from man.
        As we have seen a lot recently, many humans want to take them all away. Had they given them, they could take them.

          That is the preamble of the Declaration of Independence which is the precursor the the US Constitution. In any case most of us know what she was trying to relate.
