In an Islamic context, being a martyr doesn’t mean simply dying for one’s faith. The Qur’an promises paradise to those who “kill and are killed” for Allah (9:111). That’s what being a martyr involves: killing infidels.

He has claimed risibly that “the Muslim is presumed guilty” on American college and university campuses. and that “as such, (they) experience verbal harassment, bullying, even physical attacks. UC Berkeley Professor Hatem Bazian shared a livestream from the Gaza encampment at the University on May 7, 2024 on his Facebook page, in which speakers praised the Palestinian “resistance.” A woman said that the souls of the Palestinian martyrs will one day soar over “a liberated Jerusalem, free from the defilement of their killers.” Another woman led the crowd in a chant: “Glory to our noble resistance! […] Long live the Palestinian resistance!” A man led the crowd in a chant vowing to return to Acre, Jaffa, Safed, and Haifa. Bazian also spoke at the event, however his speech is not included in this clip.
It is worth noting that Hatem Bazian is the chairman of the National Board of AMP – American Muslims for Palestine and that he was a co-founder of SJP – Students for Justice in Palestine. He is also a co-founder and faculty member at Zaytuna College.

Good questions, 40 rounds. As to the first of yours, it is because education in America from pre-school through graduate school is now overwhelmingly led by overeducated buffoons, total clowns. I know. I spent a third of a century in education (one year as a graduate assistant, three years at the high school level and twenty-nine years at the college level) and as each decade rolled on I witnessed more and more corruption of the curriculum and more and more of utter fools in charge of both teaching and administration.
Respecting your second query, parents who persist in not knowing what has been going on in education in America are indefensibly ignorant parents and those parents who do know what is going on and are OK with it are even worse.
In brief, parenting since the “Leave It To Beaver” and “Father Knows Best” days has gone way downhill, which includes the denigration of the father figure, sarcasm about traditional Judeo-Christian ethics and, as well, a heavy dose of anti-Americanism. The reason why this is so is because such horrendously murderous Islamic jihad attacks who are also now dead themselves discovered right after their death that a Qu ‘ran contains many false doctrines , including that of a paradise for a Muslim who dies fighting in the jihad for Islam.
