Columbia University Apartheid Divest describes itself as “a coalition of student organizations that see Palestine as the vanguard for our collective liberation.” But it’s not just interested in “Palestine.” On Thursday, it issued “a statement in solidarity with the student movement in Bangladesh” that didn’t actually get around to mentioning Bangladesh at all. It did, however, include a statement about the movement’s overall goals that Americans should take seriously and that should lead all patriotic politicians to shun and denounce this group if we have any such politicians.The group can’t be criticized for not stating plainly what it’s all about. Its Thursday statement begins: “We are Westerners fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization.” There it is. Remember, this is not the critics of Columbia University Apartheid Divest talking. This is the coalition’s goal in its own words. Nor is this an insignificant groupuscule of far-left clowns who rave at the margins of Columbia while passersby ignore them. Columbia University Apartheid Divest boasts: “We are currently a coalition of 116 different organizations. We represent thousands of Columbia students across nine different schools.” The emphasis is theirs.
The movement is undeniably broad-based and encompasses all the various types of leftist pressure groups that are operating today. Listed as part of the coalition are Young Democratic Socialists Of America; Columbia Queer And Asian; African Students Association; Muslim Students Association; Columbia Social Workers For Palestine; Black Student Organization; Students For Justice In Palestine; Jewish Voice For Peace; Reproductive Justice Collective; Columbia Chicanx [sic!] Caucus; Black And Latinx Student Organization; RightsViews (Human Rights Graduate Journal); The Columbia Review; CU Amnesty International; Union Theological Seminary (UTS) Students For A Free Palestine; and many, many more, including WBAR Radio; Barnard Garden Club; and even Poetry Slam.
So are all these groups, even the Barnard Garden Club, “fighting for the total eradication of Western civilization”? No member of the Columbia University Apartheid Divest coalition has announced that it is withdrawing from the group since this statement was published. No organization has repudiated the statement.
It is also important to bear in mind that we have seen this kind of rhetoric before. The Columbia University Apartheid Divest is strikingly similar to that of a document dating from May 1991, “An Explanatory Memorandum on the General Strategic Goal for the Brotherhood in North America.” It stated that “The process of settlement is a ‘Civilization-Jihadist Process’ with all the word means. The Ikhwan [Brotherhood] must understand that their work in America is a kind of grand Jihad in eliminating and destroying the Western civilization from within and ‘sabotaging’ its miserable house by their hands and the hands of the believers so that it is eliminated and God’s religion is made victorious over all other religions” (p. 7).
The idea that the Westerners would destroy their own civilization “by their hands” comes from the Qur’an: “It is he who has caused those among the people of the book who disbelieved to go forth from their homes to the first exile. You did not think that they would go forth, while they thought that their strongholds would protect them from Allah. But Allah reached them from a place they did not expect, and cast terror in their hearts so that they ruined their houses with their own hands and the hands of the believers. So learn a lesson, O you who have eyes” (Qur’an 59:2).

I am an Israeli citizen currently in Prelaw and looking for an activity or little club to join.
Israeli and Jewish life experiences are center today in the middle east I think I would have important viewpoints to offer. With the various inhumane treatment of the Jewish people, that have been in the Middle east longer than any other group, indicates that people are unaware of the genocidal attacks against the original and legal owners of the Kingdom of David.
The world has taken a one-sided viewpoint of the Middle East, they would never allow the treat of Muslims like the Muslim are treating the Jews. The Muslim countries are repressive and ingrain in their children that Jew are bad. The truth is that there is a large population of Muslims that live in Israel and would never move because of the opportunities they have there. How are Jews treated in Muslim controlled countries? We will never know because there are none! Muslims make it as crime to be any other religion but Muslim and put to death any one that leaves Islam for another faith.

Well, unless they are specifying what they want to replace Western civilization with after it is destroyed, I assume they will be happy with Islamic law.
One could add that they must also be happy with the possibility of a society of slaves or a caste system or feudalism.
These students are at Columbia, a prestigious university. Is it asking too much of the professors there to question them on this?

I don’t think they will be happy with Islamic Law/Caliphate ruling them, or Feudalism, with them as the peasants. They believe, I’m fairly certain, since they are in league with the power side of things, they are working to achieve a common aim–said destruction mentioned in the article. The thing they have signed on to help bring to pass. However, they will be in for a rude surprise. As Yuri Bezmenov said of these “useful idiots” in his interviews, once they are no longer needed, they will be “lined up against a wall and customarily shot.” He was speaking as an ex-KGB agent. Interestingly, when he discovered what they were really doing, he defected by posing as an American hippie in India where he was stationed. The real aim was hidden from these KGB agents. It’s very boxed, just like, oh, the Dept of Defense.
Why must they be destroyed, even before they realize they were duped? Same reason Mao destroyed almost all his comrades, once he was in the chair. Because these people are likely to cause the most trouble when the real sh** hits the fan–the things they DIDN’T sign on for. The sudden swerve that they were not expecting.
For example, if Sharia Islam wins out, no more “gays for Palestine” or rainbow coalitions possible. “Hey! What’s going on?!” Those disgruntled agitators, and even “loyal comrades” who have seen through the veil to the real plan, can cause a lot of problems. Lots of headaches! And could become real opponents. So they cannot be tolerated once the new leader(s) assume the top dog position. Time to call out the firing squad, get out the ricin, or whatever their preferred method is.
These groups *believe* their cause is just and there will be *power-sharing* once the Western Civ. is demolished. Alas, they will realize at that point that they’ve sawn off the limb on which they were sitting all along.
An aside, Yuri Bezmenov was found dead. He said he’d been receiving threats all along but refused to shut up. All the media said the same thing: his autopsy revealed symptoms indicative of alcohol abuse. As in, too much vodka, poor old Yuri. Of course, they will say that. Who did the autopsy? Most media companies are part of the “collective” as most people reading J-Watch know.

Wow – Columbia has always been left-of-center but this coalition’s tirade against civilization – especially the United States, Israel, and other republics and democracies around the globe is sickening.
Where are the parents – at least those of US citizens attending Columbia?
