Does Ibrahim “Honest Ibe” Hooper of Hamas-linked CAIR have no shame? No decency? He could have used this occasion to explain, beyond simply denouncing the attack, what his Hamas-linked group is doing to teach Muslims that the interpretation of Islam held by those who killed Ambassador Stevens is all wrong — but he can’t do that, because they aren’t doing anything, and because they hold to essentially the same view of Islam.
“US Muslims wary of possible retaliatory attacks,” by Jim Gold for NBC News, September 12:
U.S. Muslims are seeing a spike in hate calls and are concerned about possible retaliatory attacks on domestic mosques following the fatal attack on the U.S. consulate in Libya and protests at the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.
“We”re starting to get hate calls and we”d already seen a wave of anti-Muslim incidents,” Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on Arab-Islamic Relations in Washington, D.C., told NBC News on Wednesday.
“Our first thought is condemning the attacks. Obviously this is something we”re concerned about,” he said. Muslims are feeling insecure, he added.
Hooper is a master at this sort of thing, but here’s the reality: he appears to want Muslims feeling insecure, and above all to want non-Muslims to be worried about the insecure feelings that Muslims have. In reality, CAIR and other Muslims have not hesitated to stoop even to fabricating “hate crimes,” including attacks on mosques. CAIR and other groups like it want and need hate crimes against Muslims, because they can use them for political points and as weapons to intimidate people into remaining silent about the jihad threat.
The [Hamas-linked] Muslim civil rights group later Wednesday held a news conference to condemn the attacks in Libya and Egypt.
The U.S. ambassador to Libya and three embassy staffers were killed in the assault on the Benghazi consulate, which was stormed by Islamist gunmen. Another assault was mounted on the U.S. Embassy in Cairo.
On Tuesday, CAIR issued a statement urging Muslims to ignore the distribution of what it called the “trashy” anti-Islam film blamed by some for the attacks….
Hassan Shibly, executive director of the Florida Council on American Islamic Relations in Tampa, Fla., said if an attack on a mosque occurred it would be hard to know who would be retaliating against what.
“When somebody knocks on my door at CAIR, I just hope I don’t hear a gunshot,” Shibly told NBC News. “There are a lot of crazies out there promoting hate.”
This is total projection. It is Leftists and Islamic supremacists who demonize their opponents to such an extent that we get threats and have to have guards out in public. Shibly can go to any campus anywhere in the country and be warmly received. I can’t go to a campus without wondering if I will get out alive, or at least without being pied or struck. Then he says he is feeling threatened. Again — no shame, and no decency.
