Kenya: Islamic jihadists storm church, murder four people

KenyaChurchShhh! Do not speak of this! “Talk about extreme, militant Islamists and the atrocities that they have perpetrated globally might undercut the positive achievements that we Catholics have attained in our inter-religious dialogue with devout Muslims.” — Robert McManus, Roman Catholic Bishop of Worcester, Massachusetts, February 8, 2013

“Gunmen kill four in ‘terrorist’ attack on Kenyan church,” by Joseph Akwiri for Reuters, March 23:

(Reuters) – Two gunmen stormed a church near the Kenyan coastal city of Mombasa on Sunday and opened fire on worshippers, killing four people and wounding others, in what police called a terrorist attack.

One witness said the gunmen shouted out in a foreign language before shooting indiscriminately at the congregation. Blood-spattered Bibles and overturned plastic chairs lay strewn across the church’s floor after the attack.

“Both carried big guns and began shooting all over the place. I fell to the ground and could hear screams,” said Lilian Omondi, who was leading a prayer recital at the time.

Another bystander said the assailants walked unhurriedly out

of the church and opened fire on people standing outside. An Interior Ministry official later said they escaped.

“They were ordinary looking guys, one of them tall, dark and wearing a long-sleeved shirt. They walked casually as if all was ok,” said Peter Muasya. “Then they started shooting at those of us who were standing outside.”

Somali militant group al Shabaab and local sympathisers have carried out multiple attacks in Kenya, in revenge for the Kenyan army’s intervention in Somalia to crush the Islamist rebels.

Along Kenya’s Indian Ocean coast, tension is high particularly among Muslim youths who claim the security forces have been heavy handed in their crackdown on militant recruitment.

Kenya’s parliament has called for better coordination between the security and intelligence agencies after 67 people were killed in a shopping mall attack in Nairobi in September.

The church shooting took place in Likoni, located across a deep-water channel from Mombasa city, a major tourist hub. It came days after prosecutors charged two Somalis with terrorism offences after police seized a car packed with explosives.

There was no immediate claim of responsibility. Likoni’s police chief Robert Mureithi said it appeared the gunmen were armed with automatic weapons.

The attackers tried to raid a second church nearby but fled when armed police on patrol in the area appeared.

“This has all the indicators of a terrorist attack because the attackers did not steal anything and appeared focused on killing,” Mureithi told reporters at the scene.

Two people were killed at the church and two people died of gunshot wounds in hospital, according to the Kenyan Red Cross.

At Mombasa’s main hospital doctors handed reporters x-rays showing bullets lodged in the skulls of a two-year-old boy, whose mother was killed, and a male adult they were treating.

Kenyan security officials say the Indian Ocean coastline has become a hotbed of radicalisation.

“Terrorism continues to grow in shape, colour and behaviour and when it assumes the phase of radicalisation … it will be met (with) full force,” Interior Minister Joseph Ole Lenku said in Mombasa on Saturday.

Moderate clerics in Mombasa warn the forceful the crackdown on militant recruitment networks is fuelling resentment.

Kenyans are increasingly alarmed at the relative ease at which militants appear to move within the country, east Africa’s biggest economy and a recipient of U.S. counter-terrorism funding.

Al Shabaab said it carried out the Westgate mall siege in the capital to avenge the military deployment in Somalia and has threatened more strikes in Kenya and other nations which have sent troops to Somalia, including Uganda and Ethiopia.

It’s very noticeable that most of Islam’s victims are soft targets. Innocent men, women and children going about their daily lives, unarmed and unsuspecting.
Nevertheless, their so-called prophet would be mighty proud of the way they mow down women and kids.

It’s worrying how they get away so easily. Are the local police or militia mohammedan? Are they scared? Are they intimidated, threatened? Are they paid off?

How about a REAL reporter does a ‘fifth estate’ type serious investigation into the numerous cases, analyzing perps, MOs, timelines, locations, jurisdictions…

Maybe we can find out how the bad guys can get away with this.

Bishop McManus is clueless because he is UNACQUAINTED with Sharia law and smug about it. He gets his information about Islam from prevaricating, slick mullahs who shamelessly tergiversate about Islam’s goals and methods.

Bishop McManus is lacking any knowledge of Sharia law, the source of any understanding of Islam.

Bishop McManus, you HAVE time to learn about Sharia. YOU ALWAYS HAVE TIME TO SAVE LIVES.

Murder for Allah, the Islamic way of spreading peace. There is nothing radical about spreading peace, is there?

The fastest growing population on Earth is also the poorest on Earth. Add Islam’s intolerance to this petri dish, and to no ones surprise a bacteria quickly spreads, effects everyone, and is often fatal.

Africa will quickly eclipse the Middle East as the leading terrorist recruiting center and exporter of Islamic violence

This is the usual claim that Jihad is all about poverty. And yet, as another recent study showed—the story, in fact, immediately preceding this one on Jihad Watch—Jihad does not correlate to poverty or poor education.

Besides, is there any reason to suppose that these Christian church goers were any wealthier than their Muslim killers?

And if hey were not, they why weren’t *they* going on a bloody rampage instead?

This is about ideology, not income.

Coming soon to Europe, USA, Canada, Australia and EVERY other non Muslim county on the planet.
The Muslims will NEVER stop their attacks. Black, White, Brown or Yellow,
African, Asian or European, if you are not Muslim, the Religion of Peace has you in their gun sights.
The global war against Islam has NOTHING to do with your race, skin colour or where you were born.
Islam is the common enemy of all other religions and unless we stand together we will lose this war.

We know that the murdered victims in this Kenyan church are Christians; but West’s MSM are very reluctant to identify the murderous perpetrators as Muslims.

You’re out by, oh, about 1390 years.

The Ummah, or Mohammedan Mob, the Empire of Islam, has been at war upon all of the rest of humanity ever since its (the Ummah’s) inception.

Here it is, from the Sira of Ibn Ishaq, the canonical life of Mohammed:

      – “‘Men, do you know what you are pledging yourselves to in swearing allegiance to this man [Muhammad]?’ ‘Yes. In swearing allegiance to him we are pledging to wage war against all mankind.’”

John Quincy Adams, one of America’s greatest statesmen, saw that clearly, when he did his homework on Islam. Here he is, writing about the Jihad imperative.

From this article about JQA and Islam.

      By Andrew G. Bostom | Wednesday, September 29, 2004

      Here’s what JQA said:

“In the seventh century of the Christian era, a wandering Arab of the lineage of Hagar [i.e., Muhammad], the Egyptian, combining the powers of transcendent genius, with the preternatural energy of a fanatic, and the fraudulent spirit of an impostor, proclaimed himself as a messenger from Heaven, and spread desolation and delusion over an extensive portion of the earth.

“Adopting from the sublime conception of the Mosaic law, the doctrine of one omnipotent God; he connected indissolubly with it, the audacious falsehood, that he was himself his prophet and apostle.

“Adopting from the new Revelation of Jesus, the faith and hope of immortal life, and of future retribution, he humbled it to the dust by adapting all the rewards and sanctions of his religion to the gratification of the sexual passion.
      He poisoned the sources of human felicity at the fountain, by degrading the condition of the female sex, and the allowance of polygamy;

“**and he declared undistinguishing and exterminating war, as a part of his religion, against all the rest of mankind.** {my emphasis – dda}.”…

And another spot-on paragraph from JQA:

“The precept of the Koran is, perpetual war against all who deny, that Mahomet is the prophet of God.

“The vanquished may purchase their lives, by the payment of tribute; the victorious may be appeased by a false and delusive promise of peace; and the faithful follower of the prophet, may submit to the imperious necessities of defeat: but the command to propagate the Moslem creed by the sword is always obligatory, when it can be made effective.

“The commands of the prophet may be performed alike, by fraud, or by force.”

That is what has been happening for the past *1400 years*, slacking off only when ever and wherever the Infidels, on whichever front, put up a particularly determined resistance.

This attack in Kenya is no different from Muslim ghazi raiders attacking churches and synagogues in Byzantine “Palestine” in the 7th century, or attacking Buddhist shrines and Hindu temples in Sindh in the 8th. It’s all part of the *same war*.

A much more detailed account, from “The Nation”, a Kenyan English-language news outlet.

‘The number of the people killed in Likoni church attack Sunday morning has risen to four while 15

The number of the people killed in Likoni church attack Sunday morning has risen to four while 15 others are undergoing treatment after baclava-clad gunmen opened fire at worshippers attending a church service in Likoni constituency of Mombasa County.

‘The Likoni police boss Robert Murithi said the gun attack left two dead on the spot and eight escaped with critical gunshot injuries while two others died later from injuries.

‘The attackers arrived at the Joy in Jesus Church at about 10.30am before one of them who entered the church from the back door started shooting sporadically at worshippers.

‘Eyewitnesses told the Nation, another two gunmen armed with AK47 rifle and a pistol stood guard outside the church while at the same time firing at the fleeing worshippers.

‘According to the Joy in Jesus Church pastor’s wife Lilian Omondi the attacker who entered the church was a tall and slender man dressed in a long sleeve yellow shirt and a trouser.

‘She said the attacker armed with AK 47 rifle killed the 60-year-old guard at the door {now that’s interesting: none of the other reports said the church had had a guard – dda} before proceeding on to shot [sic] other church attenders seated on plastic chairs.

“He entered the door from backdoor. I came face to face with him. Luckily, I escaped unhurt as he started the random shooting aiming at anybody and everything on sight,” she said adding that in the ensuing stampede many others were injured.
‘Describing the assailant as ‘tall and slender’, Mrs Omondi said he injured more than 10 people as churchgoers [were] scampering for safety.
‘Talking to Nation, Mr Benson Okoth said that the gunman walked casually passed [sic: past] him after he went down on the ground pretending to be dead.
“I saved my life by playing dead because he casually walked past towards the congregation before opening fire,” he said. “Some worshippers screamed as others fell down on the floor to avoid being shot.”

‘Speaking at the scene of incident, the Likoni OCPD Robert Muriithi told journalists that the attackers arrived and left on foot after attacking worshippers.
‘However, Mr Murithi said they were getting ‘conflicting’ reports from the eyewitnesses who were giving different versions of what happened.
“But we are following leads that will help us unravel those behind this attack,” he said adding they were treating the incident with the seriousness it deserves.
‘The police recovered a bag of live bullets which is believed to have been left by the gunmen as they walked away and melt into the sprawling Shonda village.
‘At the church, it was a grisly scene of strewn attenders’ personal effects, blood stains, overturned chairs and numerous gunshots marks.

    ‘Attempted to attack another church

‘As the attackers left the Joy in Jesus Church, according to Mr Muriithi, they attempted to storm another nearby church but hastily left on realising it was being manned by police officers.

‘At Coast Provincial General Hospital, medical personnel had hectic moments dealing with the victims as anxious relatives throng the casualty department to know the fate of their loved ones.

‘A visibly shocked victim, Juliet A Mumia, 62, said hell broke loose when unknown gunman opened fire and starting shooting indiscriminately.
“I just heard pop pop tutu tutu and saw people lying on the floor lifeless. But when everything went silent I found my granddaughter bleeding from the head while her brother escaped with minor injuries,” she.
‘According to her the situation was chaotic as everybody struggled to escape the lone gunman in the church and the two standing guards outside the premises.
‘Her daughter whom they had left behind when she took her grandchildren for the 10 am mass service stood at the emergency ward bedside crying and unable to speak while occasionally mopping her tears.
‘The CPGH chief administrator Dr Bernard Mwero confirmed they had received four bodies from the Likoni church gunfire incident.
‘By midday the number of victims hospitalized and undergoing treatment was 11 plus three children one of whom was taken for scanning to assess the extent of head injury.
‘One of the doctors attending the injured told the Nation the majority of victims suffered thighs, legs, groins, and stomach and head injuries.

“Like this patient ( a man) has two bullets lodged in his lower part and we will be taking him for surgery to remove them,” the doctor who is not authorised to speak to the press said.’

The mohammedan mobsters murdered the pastor.

Neither AFP nor AAP nor Reuters bothered to mention *that*.

    Here’s another Kenyan news outlet.

    Sunday, March 23, 2014 – 00:00 — BY STAR REPORTER
“Four people were shot dead today after suspected al Shabaab gunmen stormed the Joy in Jesus church in Likoni, Mombasa county.

“Ten others were seriously injured and rushed to hospital. Likoni

“Police boss Robert Mureithi said the gunmen shot at the worshipers indiscriminately.

“The church’s pastor Philip Masela ia among the dead.

“The Deputy Nurse in charge of the Likoni District Hospital said the pastor had been shot on his lower abdomen and died due to excessive bleeding as they tried to conduct first aid on him.

Witnesses say three attackers entered the church, one wore a mask, the other a cap and another a long scarf. ”

Let us remember his name. Rev Philip Masela, Kenyan, Christian: one more added just now to the thousands upon thousands, probably millions, of non-Muslim religious leaders deliberately murdered by Mohammedan mobsters.
