“I no longer support violent jihad,” he says. Too late he has come to realization that jihad is just stopping and smelling the roses, as Hamas-linked CAIR’s cynical and deceptive campaign to whitewash the word would have us believe.
“Fed Bomb Plotter Pleads Guilty to Terror Charge in N.Y[.],” by Christie Smythe for Bloomberg, February 7 (thanks to David):
A Bangladeshi man arrested in October after attempting to bomb the New York Federal Reserve pleaded guilty to a terrorism charge.
Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis, 21, entered his plea today before U.S. District Judge Carol Bagley Amon in Brooklyn, New York, to attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction.
Nafis, who had come to the U.S. on a student visa, tried to detonate what he believed to be a 1,000-pound bomb at the Fed in Lower Manhattan, according to prosecutors.
The explosives were fake and the plot was part of an undercover operation, according to court papers.
Nafis told the court he was responsible for the plan and didn’t blame federal agents.
“I no longer support violent jihad,” he said. “I deeply and sincerely regret my involvement in this case.”
He may be sentenced to 30 years to life in prison, the judge said.
Nafis earlier was indicted on both a charge of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction and attempting to provide material support to a foreign terrorist organization.
Heidi Cesare, a lawyer for Nafis, said after the hearing that her client “pled guilty because he is guilty, and he wants to take responsibility for what he did.”…
That’s refreshing and unusual honesty coming from a jihadi’s lawyer. Contrast that to the ongoing courtroom jihad being pursued by the attorneys for would-be jihad mass murderer Mohamed Mohamud.
