“After talking about the misrepresentation of Mia’s death in the media as an act of terrorism on the part of an Islamic fundamentalist, the minister delivering the service suggested we include a Koranic reading, and he will find something suitable with a friend who is an Islamic scholar.”
You can see from this how effective the all-pervasive and persistent cultural indoctrination has been. Has Rosie Ayliffe read the Qur’an? Unlikely. Does she know for sure that the murder of her daughter was not “an act of terrorism on the part of an Islamic fundamentalist”? Almost certainly not. But as an enlightened citizen of the contemporary West, it has become part of her cultural landscape to believe that Muslims are victims of right-wing “Islamophobes” who “misrepresent” crimes done in the name of Islam and in accord with its teachings as…crimes done in the name of Islam and in accord with its teachings. And she has imbibed the idea that it is incumbent upon her and upon all enlightened people to make sure that no one thinks ill of Islam — to the extent that she is ready to do PR work for Islam even at the funeral of her daughter who was killed by a Muslim screaming “Allahu akbar.”
At very least, Smail Ayad screamed “Allahu akbar” as he killed Mia Ayliffe-Chung. Even if he was motivated by unrequited love, which is belied by his attacks on others, by screaming this he situated his murder within the context of Islam’s jihad against Infidels. So this Qur’an reading is tantamount to a having a reading from Mein Kampf at the funeral of a Jew murdered in the Holocaust.
We need a Rabelais, a Swift to do justice to this.
“Passage from the Koran will be read at slain British backpacker Mia Ayliffe-Chung’s funeral – who was ‘killed by a French national shouting Allahu Akbar,'” Daily Mail Australia, August 30, 2016 (thanks to Milad):
A passage from the Koran will be read out at the funeral of murdered British backpacker Mia Ayliffe-Chung.
The 21-year-old died after being stabbed to death during a frenzied knife attack at a north Queensland hostel last week that also left fellow Brit Tom Jackson dead, after a week spent in hospital in critical condition.
It’s alleged the man charged over the murder, French national Smail Ayad shouted out ‘Allahu Akbar’ as he attacked Mia but police have said they had found no evidence the crime was terror related.
The funeral is expected to take place in Ms Aycliffe’s [sic] hometown of Wirksworth in Derbyshire with close friends and family.
Conservative politicians have seized on the incident to call for a ban on Muslim immigration but Mia’s mother has appealed for people not to misrepresent her daughter’s death.
In a blog-post on the UK news website The independent, Rosie Ayliffe says she is planning to include a reading from the Koran in a multi-faith funeral for her daughter in response to media attention given to Ayad’s religion.
‘After talking about the misrepresentation of Mia’s death in the media as an act of terrorism on the part of an Islamic fundamentalist, the minister delivering the service suggested we include a Koranic reading, and he will find something suitable with a friend who is an Islamic scholar,’ she wrote….
The smart money is on Qur’an 5:32 (without 5:33). There isn’t much else to choose from.
