This is not surprising. They’ve been told day in and day out that opposition to jihad terror and Merkel’s suicidal policies regarding Muslim migrants is “neo-Nazi.” Of course they’re more concerned about climate chimeras than about jihad reality. Merkel is taking Germany quietly into the darkness. Future generations of free Germans, if there are any, will remember her as the destroyer of their people.
“More Germans fear climate change than terrorism, poll shows,” The Local, August 1, 2017 (thanks to Rick):
A new survey ahead of the national election in September shows Germans are more concerned about the future state of the environment than they are about more headline-grabbing topics like terrorism or the refugee crisis.
The survey released on Tuesday conducted by research group Kantar Emnid Institute on behalf of publishing group Funke Mediengruppe found that 71 percent of respondents said they were most personally concerned about climate change. This worry ranked higher than the possibility of new wars, listed by 65 percent of survey participants, and also above terror attacks, listed by 63 percent.
Crime was noted as a worry by 62 percent of the 1,000 participants surveyed, who were able to list more than one fear.
Less than half of those polled (45 percent) said they were anxious about the immigration of refugees into the country, while the lowest concern was unemployment (33 percent)….
The fact that most of those polled did show concern for security issues like wars, crime and terrorist attacks could have an implication for how people ultimately vote in September, Schneider-Haase added.
“Security topics play a big role. This pertains to external, internal and social security,” said Schneider-Haase.
The analyst also noted that because Merkel’s conservative Union parties of the CDU and CSU are considered competent in the area of security, this makes them “well-positioned” for the German parliament (Bundestag) election on September 24th. Therefore Merkel herself has an advantage over her most serious challenger, centre-left SPD leader Martin Schulz….

Always count on the Germans to get the big things wrong. Yes, they make great cars, surgical instruments, even wonderful music, but when mankind itself is at stake, never, I mean NEVER, count on the Germans.
Indeed, as with Marx, on the “big stuff” find out what the Germans think, conclude exactly the opposite, and you have about a virtual 100% chance of getting it right. As Goethe himself noted, the Germans make trouble for themselves and everyone else as well. True then. True now. Sadly, probably true for all time.

I agree. Germany is like the star athlete that fumbles the ball or trips right before the finish line. They give the impression of being a progressive, civilized, intelligent, positive contributer to society but…NO!!!
They are a country that I want to like but they just disappoint!
They have a really bad history since early 1800’s of destruction not betterment of Western society.
By that I mean people like Georg Hegel, Feuberbach, Marx, Feud who all built on each others theories and had big influence on Kaiser Wilhelm as well as Hitler. Frankfurt School of Critical Theory was largely based on the views of those evil men and those views eventually came to the US (Columbia university) and spread from there. From the universities, their vile philosophies spread to the entertainment industry, public school system, brought about feminism and led to demise of the Church and wide spread secularism in North America as it had done in Europe.
Merkle is a whackjob who needs to be stopped (probably too late now) but the Germans won’t act because (1) they no longer know whats right or wrong because of secularism (2) the men have become so effeminate thanks to influence of feminism that they no longer have natural drive to protect their country, and I guess (3) self loathing guilt (maybe) for starting 2 world wars

Thanks a lot dear friend, you’ve spoken from the bottom of my heart. The Germans learned from their dreadful past but have drawn the wrong conclusions to this very day. It’s very depressing to say that, but the Germans always fell for the wrong persuaders. Do you know the story of the Pied Piper of Hamelin? It’s a fairy tale but the message is true. The pied piper plays the flute so well that everybody follows him, wherever he goes, he might lead people into darkness but nobody cares. This happened in Germany in 1933.
Now the Germans think they can redeem their guilt, although none of the culprits is still alive by being nice and hospitable to the Muslims those who persecute the Jews – the real victims – most as is ordered by the unholy Koran.
Some Germans even talk about the looking after the victims of the victims, the palis. There are no victims of the victims only blood-thirsty and randy Muslims looking forward to their 72 virgins after their suicide bombing.
Sad but true the Germans will never learn, I’m saying that as a scientist we proceed by trial and error. The Germans are the masters of error.

Cancer of environmentalism started to spread in Germany already during 1970s. At that time mere two odd looking (unorthodoxly dressed) “parliamentarians” from Green Party arrived (were “elected”) to the Bundestag (German parliament). Leaders like F.J. Strauss (from governing Christian coalition party) used to tell jokes about those “gentlemen.” How times changed since then! Now they occupy 1/10 of seats of whole parliament and are #3 party there playing very important position which requires ruling coalition frequently to “borrow” their program to stay in power; hence domineering environmentalist philosophy in whole society. They most certainly believe that jihad must be caused by “global warming” and “refugees” arrived en masse because of “drought.” Rude awaking awaits them; but by that time will probably be too late, for Germany.
Jean Terry says
They must be brainwashed. Remember that the Arab leader El Hamini (can’t remember name entirely) was pro-German and did his best to kill Jews in Israel. The Germans must be followers who cannot think for themselves, barring the exceptions of course.

The usual objections: who are the poll takers, who pays their salaries, what was the nature of their respondent sample? It isn’t social “science” unless the results are reproducible by independent researchers.
Also, that “fear of crime” stat is a bit high for a happy, happy, joy, joy Euro state. “Crime” is probably read as “immigrant crime” by the minds of the respondents.

From the look on her face, the poll must have been taken by a cat. It certainly stinks.
When people get in legal trouble for speaking the truth, they quit speaking it. islum is a protected issue, so how can a poll be trusted as accurate when it asks a question that one might face jail time or a fine if they answer truthfully?
Hold a knife to the throat and ask if the one holding it is handsome, and the answer will likely be ‘yes.’
underbed cat says
Please don’t insult cats…..maybe use the word sauerkraut…….but it is true a knife to the throat could get a yes ….. when a government has restricted free speech, and placed penalties on opinions it is a dark day in Germany…with a history of dark days and misinformation campaigns. Except there are people living there who know they are stuck to the slavery of Islamic ignorance.

It sticks to the skin and burns the eyes.
I think what I wrote is appropriate to the situation this merkle creature has created.
And, I’ve never heard of a poll… or pole…sauerkraut. It wouldn’t fit what I wanted to say, I like the food, but I’m not fond of the animal. In fact, I’m highly allergic. And the animal does fit.
My family history includes Germans. They had hitler, but not all Germans liked him or wanted him as ruler. Some even left the country before the evil madman. It’s the government making decisions, not the average person on the street. Just like in this country.

commonsense says
gravenimage,
Denial and cluelessness are everywhere. Two days ago, as I was walking toward a local Wal-Mart, I saw four Muslims in the parking lot – an adult male and three Muslimas. One Muslima was wearing a chador, I believe – the black shroud that covers the entire face and body, leaving only slits for the eyes, which is what the women wear in Iran. The others had their faces uncovered, but everything else was swathed in black. The three were pushing shopping carts overloaded with food and supplies – it looked as if they were planning to feed an army of mujihadeen. It’s possible that these brood mares were the wives of the male. They were about to load their provisions into a large, expensive-looking van. The man was directing them. I observed this grotesque spectacle with loathing and horror. But the worst part is that I saw no reaction by others in the vicinity. No one seemed to care or show any sign of understanding that this was a portent of looming disaster for the future of this country. I made a comment to a twentysomething couple who were walking behind me. Their reply, while not hostile, demonstrated an abysmal ignorance of Islam and the menace it poses for the rest of us. Typical. It’s especially grotesque that access to information in our internet age has never been easier, and yet it appears that the vast majority of people are actually more ignorant than they were in the pre-internet era.
Jen says
I see that where I live too. It’s because the understanding of right and wrong has been blurred thanks to secularism. There are no moral absolutes anymore. There is belief in cultural equivalency, which is insane. That twentysomething couple probably uses this popular expression: “it’s only wrong if you get caught.” That sums up the millennial moral compass.
But also, the main stream media never weight in on anything even remotely negative about muslim behaviour. The general population go about their busy lives almost oblivious to what is happening to their world. This is a great example of that saying “you don’t know what you’ve got til it’s gone.”

Climate has been changing – and sometimes drastically! – over and over since the beginning of Earth. So, why is it NOW posing such a threat to Planet Earth and Mankind?? There is a consensus among scientists the world over regarding climate change. There are countless papers published in peer-reviewed academic journals. Yet you choose to believe Christian fundamentalists and capitalists. Its sad but somehow makes me feel better about the intellectual power of the anti-Muslim movement.

Study the sun, and there are plenty out there. So are there were many climate changes on earth long before Christian fundamentalists and capitalist.

The Nazi Goebbels was right, if you tell a big lie often enough, people will believe it to be true.
In this instance it is so ironic that the German people have been brainwashed to believe that bringing into their country over a million unknown “refugees”, mostly young men and mostly muslim, from countries where Islamic Jihadi’s are revered as hero’s of the fight against Christianity and all who are non – muslim, is less of a threat to their safety than an unproven theory that man, using fossil fuels, may have some influence over our climate.

I had a feeling you might push back on that post. I don’t know whether you have children (Not my business, and I wouldn’t want you to say so publicly anyway).
If you’re a parent, please don’t take my post personally. I agree with you: One needs not be a parent to care about the Earth’s future. However, there’s no denying that becoming a parent alters one’s Worldview.
You’re reading too much into my remark. I wasn’t generalizing. I was giving my armchair psychoanalysis only of Merkel.
That said, allow me to now generalize, as it pertains to Europe:
With few exceptions, most Western-European heads of state are childless, including Merkel, Macron, and May. Do you think that may influence their policies? I do.
And while I’m not comparing either former-USSR or the Ummah to European leaders, it’s worth noting: The reason Mutually Assured Destruction (MAD) worked with the USSR is because they love their children as we love ours. The reason MAD doesn’t work with the Ummah is because they love death more than life, and will murder their own children to please their deity.
