Meanwhile, PennLive.com ran a sympathetic puff piece about his family, featuring them whining about their fear of being attacked by non-Muslims. For the establishment media, Muslims, not anyone else, are always the victims of jihad terror attacks.
“DHS calls Pennsylvania capitol shooting a ‘terror attack,'” Sinclair Broadcast Group, December 23, 2017:
HARRISBURG, Pa. — The Department of Homeland Security has called a Friday evening shooting at the Pennsylvania State Capitol building a terror attack.
A gunman, identified as 51-year-old Ahmed Aminamin El-Mofty, intentionally fired at police officers at multiple locations around the capitol building in Harrisburg, according to local authorities. The suspect injured one officer before he was fatally shot.
DHS spokesman Tyler Houlton declared the shooting “a terror attack” in a Saturday press release.
El-Mofty became a naturalized U.S. citizen as a result of extended family chain migration, according to the DHS statement. “Ahmed Aminamin El-Mofty was a naturalized U.S. citizen who was admitted to the United States from Egypt on a family-based immigrant visa,” Houlton said.
The DHS official said the shooting in Harrisburg highlights theTrump administration’s concerns about extended family chain migration.
“Both chain migration and the diversity visa lottery program have been exploited by terrorist to attack our country,” Houlton stated. He continued that these immigration programs “make it more difficult to keep dangerous people out of the United States and to protect the safety of every American.”
During a cabinet meeting on Wednesday, President Trump promised to end chain migration, claiming the immigration program allows the “worst people” into the country. “So that’s not going to be happening anymore. We’re going to end it,” Trump said.
El-Mofty reportedly opened fire at a Capitol police officer’s car at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Friday. He fired several shots at a Pennsylvania State Police Troop, injuring her. The officer has been released from the hospital and is expected to make a full recovery.
After the suspect was shot and killed officers found “a device” near his body. The situation was handled by the Harrisburg Bomb Squad and local authorities.

DHS calls Pennsylvania shooting of cop by Muslim a “terror attack”
…………………………..
Good, because that’s what it is.
Wellington says
But as I know you know, gravenimage, such a description of this attack would not have occurred were Obama still President (or, God forbid, if Hillary were now). Even if most any Republican candidate for the Presidency in 2016 had won rather than Trump, there’s a good chance that such an administration would have done here what Obama, Hillary and ilk would have. All the more reason why I feel vindicated, as well as proud, that I voted for Trump. Whatever his faults, and he has enough of them, they still pale before his many virtues, one of which is that he says what he means and he means what he says, another being that he simply doesn’t give a shit what his many detractors say about him. Two great virtues indeed.
From Pennsylvania, where the greatest nation of all time was founded, I wish you and yours a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Take care, my West Coast friend.

Probably true, Wellington. I feel the same way about Trump.
And a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your wife!

Wrong: jihad attack, as in “jihad fi sabil allah.”
Peter says
Terror is a tactic, a means to an end, not an end in itself. The end here is the advancement of Islam, not “terror.”
Michael Copeland says
“Terror” has quietly become a stand-in name for Islam in news-speak..

About Christmas (i.e. Off Topic)
========================
I got this link via email, Silent night, in German, sung by Peter Alexander. I am not exactly in the mood for this, my Mom died a while ago (I was her carer for over 20 years, my dog died too… got a “new one” though)
OK, I have to say it was the best rendition I ever heard! So I share it with you. Here’s the link

I am sure that some of you will actually enjoy this, for those who do, please do.
Merry Christmas and all that!

Your comment made me so sad, I’m truly sorry for your loss. It’s never easy but this is such an awful time of year to lose a parent. And your doggie, too… Please accept a stranger’s condolences, and thank you for the thoughtful link.

Dogs (and cats, etc.) are ‘people’ and if you study their behaviour they’re actually a damned sight nicer ‘people’ than many so- called ‘superior’ humans. I sympathise with you entirely, DFD.
Ray Jarman says
Thanks for the opine, it was a lovely and I can emphasize with your sadness as my mother died last year on the third of January and my former spouse’s mother and father died during Christmas time quiet some time ago and in different years in Alzey, Germany. As far as the music by Peter Alexander, it was great and it takes me back to the time of Heino and Udo Jürgens when I lived in Frankfurt, Germany.
It really saddens me to think about what is transpiring there now and I pray that the people wake up to the fact that Merkel and the once honorable CDU is leading them down the path of destruction.

Thank you for the link, DFD. Beautiful! This not only a lovely rendition, but perhaps the most beautiful Christmas carol ever written.
Sorry to hear about your mom. I lost my mother a couple of years ago, too.

Always insulting non-Muslims in the midst of their own family member’s attack. You’d almost get the sense they have a preoccupation with disliking non-Muslims. Hmm. One of these days the media will show at least some small portion of sympathy and empathy for the actual victims of terrorism as they routinely do for their hypothetical potential supposedly possible if-you-think-about-it maybe eventually it-could-happen family members who in all actuality go on living high off the hog on the dime of their victims as we’re made to feel guilty for who-knows-what.

Deport El-Mofty now

I hope DHS investigates the crap out of this clown. He went to Egypt, came back, pulled an attack. Is he a lone wolf, or are there comrades waiting to pull more jihad tricks? And I hope DHS checks out the entire “chain” that pulled him over here; there may be other family members ready to imitate him.
Pet Charles says
I hope that Trump makes good on ending chain immigration. It is the greatest demographic threat to America right now.

One down.
More to go.

So we waited for the investigation and got a positive. Where are the conspiracy theorists? how is this possible given the massive cover ups such as that of Las Vegas?
gravenimage says
Note that lebel takes a Jihad terror attack and uses it to sneer at the idea that Jihad terror attacks occur.
Just disgusting.
lebel says
Putting aside the fact that I am evil and disgusting, don’t you think that conspiracy theories where there’s a supposed cover up to protect Islam when attacks occur are just that, conspiracy theories?
Yes I am evil but give me a straight answer, even if it means that you disagree with the position of the majority of posters here.
gravenimage says
It is quite common for the media or law enforcement to initially forego mentioning that an attacker is a Muslim–often just describing him as a “(town here) man”–or to claim that there is no link to terrorism right off the bat in cases where the perpetrator turns out to have been acting in the name of ISIS.
This is not a “conspiracy theory”–it is quite easily observable, and widespread through much of the West.
This has more to do with “political correctness” than any organized ‘conspiracy’, of course, as lebel well knows.

From the official Harrisburg city newspaper which is entitled THE PATRIOT NEWS which is a strong liberal bias stance and is also the official newspaper of state record still ,this time, gave an good and objective report of the jihad incident in Harrisburg PA. that occurred on Friday 23 . For the on December 24, 1017 SUNDAY PATRIOT –NEWS. Reported about that jihad.-minded Muslim that ,Ahmed Aminamin El-Mofty. This newspaper reads “El-Mofty fired several shots at state troopers…” and that he “used two handguns …to open fire on police.’ This news source also informed the reader that Eel –Mofty “was a naturalized U.S. citizen who returned from the Middle East just weeks ago…” and then also printed that “Those incidents highlights the Trump administrations concerns with extended family chain migration…Both chain migration and the diversity visa lottery program have been exploited by terrorists to attack out country.” And that “it was no doubt that he [Mofty] was directly targeting police officers …” Also that The “Department of “Homeland Security called the shootings a terror attack.” This source also revealed that “El-Motfy had no history of violence or mental illness.”
In conclusion ,since Ahmed Aminanmin El-Mofty had “No history and violence or mental illness” it’s not belong reason to understand that when visiting of those Islamic Middle East countries , Mofty was influenced to jihad violence by some Muslim clerics and other jihad- minded Muslims in one of the “Islamic study centers.”
Walter Sieruk says
In the December 25 ,2017 issue of of Harrisburg’s newspaper , THE PATRIOT NEWS, has an article about about the that Muslim ,Ahmed Aminamin El-Mofty terror shooting incident in down-city Harrisburg .The sub-title of that article reads “Muslim group say it is ‘horrified and sickened ‘ by terror attack..” The article further reads on the “On Monday , the Islamic Society of Greater Harrisburg condemned the attack.” As well as it should. Nevertheless it might not be wise to take those words of the ISGH. at face value. This might be an attempt as what a Sociologist can call by condemning by that Islamic society “Impression Management ” in order to protect the reputation of their religion, which is Islam. So Of course the Muslim members of this Islamic Society would feel “horrified and sicked” by the jihad terror attack n Harrisburg because that jihad attack might further damage the image of Islam.
Walter Sieruk says
About that Islamic terror attack in Harrisburg Pa in the the jihad minded Muslim shooter , no doubt and miraculous and murderous intentions with his shooting at police officers . Us Representative Scott Perry R-York said concerning this terror attack as an example of “the reality that it can happen anywhere.” Furthermore, That jihadist shooter was in the America ,in the first place, because of those foolish chain immigration and diversity programs.
The foolishness and folly of such chain immigration and diversity programs is better explained by one of the fables of Aesop which is entitled THE FARMER AND THE VIPER. So here it is “Once in ancient Greece there was a farmer outside on a very cold winter day walking in if field to make sure that everything is in order and as it should be. The farmer came upon a half-froze viper about to die from the bitter cold. The kind yet foolish farmer took pity on the viper and in an action of kindness put it his is vest jacket to warms and up and thus save its life. The viper warned up revived and then bit farmer through the vest jacket. So the kind but foolish farmer died a slow painful death in awful agony because he felt sorry of the viper and saved it life.” The point to this fable is the no amount of kindness will chance an evil and dangerous nature.
So it may be with those many Muslim immigrants who want to enter the USA. It only takes of few jihadist/vipers as that jihadist shooter in Harrisburg Pa his Islamic jihad based murderous intentions
