The headline “School sacks employee for wearing niqab” jumps off the page, as in the West, a more expected title would be “School sacks employee for criticizing niqab.”
This incident happened in Laamu Atoll, an administrative division of the Maldives in Southeast Asia. The reason?
The letter sent to her sites clauses in articles 273 and 47 of the Civil Services Act, which have to do with security and violation of procedure, respectively. Article 273’s second clause allows a civil servant to be terminated from employment if he or she presents a credible threat to the security of the institution they are employed at.
Not being able to see someone’s identity is a security threat. Who would have imagined a day when the West would decline to the point of needing a lesson in security from a tiny Third World district in Southeast Asia while jihad attacks continue worldwide? Bravo to this school in Kunahandhoo in Laamu Atoll.
“Kunahandhoo school sacks employee for wearing niqab”, Raajjetv, February 14, 2018:
The state-run primary school in Kunahandhoo in Laamu Atoll has terminated a teacher from employment for reportedly wearing the niqab, a highly concealing Islamic veil.
The teacher, who has a background in Islamic studies and reciting the holy Quran, was informed of her termination on Sunday.
The niqab covers the face and the body, leaving clear only the area around the eyes.
The teacher said that she had previously been told to remove her veil, and that the school was reluctant to hire her in the first place.
The letter sent to her sites clauses in articles 273 and 47 of the Civil Services Act, which have to do with security and violation of procedure, respectively.
Article 273’s second clause allows a civil servant to be terminated from employment if he or she presents a credible threat to the security of the institution they are employed at.
The third clause of 47 allows for termination on the grounds that the employee in question has violated procedures….

Yes, you don’t see this in the west.
But out here in Shangri La people are fighting back. The Burmese are famously being vilified at the moment for fighting back too hard. Not vilified by the Burmese people mind, but by the Euro-UN crowd who have already amply demonstrated their absence of reason and lack of solution. The ordinary Burmese want to go in harder.
Even in muslim Indonesia, the more moderate majority are horrified by the progress being made by the fanatics. However, they feel abandoned by the west. How can they stand up when all the leaders of the richest and most powerful nations are pandering and appeasing the fanatics. Being moderate means that you are unlikely to have the same kind of obsessively murderous enthusiasm that your devout neighbour has. Many are simply afraid.
To put it bluntly, only one side is prepared to decapitate your kids.
How do I know?
I live and am raising a family here.
I give my kids a better chance at a hopeful future than I give some Swede, Brit or French kid.
Let’s hope that Trump will show the same kind of intolerance that the Burmese military have shown. There are many trapped in in Islam who are waiting for the signal that will set the free.
But as long as the west keeps adopting a subservient posture then the moderates and the would be apostates (there are many) will prefer to keep their heads on their shoulders.

Excellent post, Mantap Lagi. For 40 years, the Saudis have been pouring billions of dollars into SE Asia in order to ‘Wahhabise’ the Muslim populations, and we are seeing the results of their ‘investment’. As an Australian, I am especially concerned about our close neighbour, Indonesia.
I hope that you and your family stay safe!

More arrogant islam. She’d worn the offending thing before and was warned against it, yet flouted the rule, possibly to see how far she could get before being victimised with job loss?
One can imagine how many ‘wonders of islam’ lessons she was able to stuff into students’ minds before getting the boot.
There are too many ‘Muslim Equals Victim’ tales to think of it as anything but another attempt at poor-pitiful-pearl ism.

Yep agreed, sounds like she has been waging her own little bit of jihad right there.

Thanks for pointing out the contradictions. It is a great way to remove the gullibility of a believer. Most will not notice though, but when it is spread out and quite visable then the doubting can begin.
