Of course. What could possibly go wrong? The poor dears left Australia and joined an entity that has called for the murder of civilians in non-Muslim countries, and considers itself to be at war with them, but if we treat them kindly, they will reciprocate, won’t they?
This politically correct willful ignorance will be the death of free societies.
“‘Good people make shocking decisions’: Greens leader Richard Di Natale says ‘brainwashed’ ISIS terrorists should be ALLOWED back into Australia,” by Stephen Johnson, Daily Mail Australia, March 5, 2018 (thanks to Kenneth):
Greens leader Richard Di Natale wants ISIS fighters to be allowed back into Australia and described terrorists who had travelled to the Middle East as ‘good people’ who had been brainwashed.
The Victorian senator is opposed to Home Affairs Minister Peter Dutton’s push to strip dual nationals of their Australian citizenship if they had engaged in terrorist atrocities overseas.
Senator Di Natale argued it was better to allow foreign fighters back into Australia so they could face trial in an Australian court and be locked up.
‘Ultimately, I’d rather that person be prosecuted here and be incarcerated,’ he told the ABC’s Q&A program on Monday night.
‘Perhaps we learn a little more about how we prevent those activities happening rather than giving somebody licence to continue perpetrating those activities overseas and putting other people at risk.’
The former doctor described citizenship as a fundamental right and argued Muslim Australians who had joined ISIS had been manipulated by the Islamist group’s effective propaganda.
‘Good people make shocking decisions,’ Senator Di Natale said.
‘Somebody can effectively be brainwashed through the use of this propaganda.’…

I have looked upon you with disdain. You who call yourselves Christians I will humble you that have strayed from the teachings of my Son and his disciples and I send upon the nations Satan and his angels along with a pagan religion and it’s adherents to plague you till you are humbled but after a time and half time, should you not repent, and humble yourselves I then will spew you out of my mouth and you will suffer till the end of days. NOW DOES THAT SOUND LIKE SOMETHING GOD WOULD BRING UPON THE NATIONS or maybe it has already happened???

Di Natale and the whole of the Greens party are lunatics, and dangerous lunatics at that.
Jay says
Agreed however they could become the kingmakers at the next federal election. Because I don’t either the Coalition or Labor will get enough seats to form majority government the Greens could have up to four out of 150 seats in the House of Representatives.
Those four would be from just one state (Victoria), they could possibly win another four in New South Wales and Queensland if their vote can improve significantly in both those states. Also I believe Bill Shorten or any other prospective federal Labor party leader would do anything to get the Greens to support them and become Prime Minister.

Many Greens still believe that Islam is a religion of peace. Mehreen Faruqi,a Muslima, will be running as a Greens candidate for the Federal Senate in the next federal election in 2019. Expect their views to get more pro-Islam.

Jay says
Also there are electorates at both a state and federal in Melbourne which the Greens want to win which have sizeable Muslim populations. Batman where a by-election is being currently held is one of them where the Greens have a good chance of winning.
Although in other electorates in Melbourne and Sydney with large Muslim populations the Green vote is unremarkable. They are noticeable for being strongholds for the Labor Party although. Which would make sense, since the Greens are a middle class party and many Muslims in Australia are either working class or dependant on welfare. The latter people don’t vote for the Greens, they vote Labor. The middle and upper class Muslims (which are a sizeable populationI could see become strong Greens supporters although.
Personally despite the Greens attempt to woo the Muslim vote, I don’t believe it would bear much fruit. A Labor minority government supported by the Greens or even a Labor-Green coalition government would benefit the Muslim and disadvantage everybody else. Because they would be a higher refugee intake (which will increase the Muslim population) along with Sharia Blasphemy laws on a federal level.
Gjallarhornet says
What he is saying contains a tautology: Jihadis are never ‘good people’ – they are just rectums.
Phil Copson says
If you’ll pardon my pointing it out, it’s really an oxymoron – a contradiction in terms, such as “military intelligence” / “democratic socialist” / “live jazz” / “cultural marxist” etc.
Peter says
Live Jazz ??
Gjallarhornet says
You know, maybe you are right. Oxymoron can for instance be a stylistic trope, like a writer who writes : “burning water”. As such, the point is that is a figure combining two elements – that are mutually incompatible. Like “granite block sizes of sand”, “dry rain” and “secular jihadi suicide bomber”
A tautology on the other hand is a logical concept, which means something is true either way: “It rains and it is sunny” and “islam is merciful and kills the kuffars”.
I would argue that we could describe what we see here as a tautology “They are jihadis (which is, as we know, as synonym for ‘bad person’) and they are good”. This would be tantamount to a tautology, though describing it as an oxymoron may be slightly more correct.
Also, in logic an axiom is a statement that is taken to be true itself. Can we find an example of something that would be enough of a self evident truth to be used as an axiom within the more complete structure of, for instance. a debate?
Why, I think we can! “Islam is bad”. There you go! 😉
StellaSaidSo says
A tautology is the needless repetition of an idea, and is considered a fault of style. For example, ‘revert back’, ‘In my opinion, I think’, ‘added bonus’.
In formal logic, a tautology is a formula or assertion that is true in every possible formulation, eg. ‘the ball is blue or the ball is not blue.’

I agree, Mortimer and Charlie. These people are about as evil as it is possible for humans to become. They never were good people because they were followers of the hate filled garbage which Islam is so full of. No doubt they are now even worse people (if that’s possible) because of the vile acts they’ve taken part in during their time spent with Islamic State in the Middle East. Normal people would see these vile creatures in this way.Richard di Natale is a sick puppy to see them a “good people.” It’s a minor thing, but di Natale is a doctor. It takes a pretty high level of intelligence to get into medical studies. I often think, when I hear di Natale talk absolute garbage on many issues, how did this guy get through medicine and yet be so idiotic and out of touch with reality and lacking common sense.

“Good people make shocking decisions”.
It’s true. I did once.
I bought a car from an auction on the spur of the moment. It was driven in, switched off, then started-up and driven out. It looked ok. It turned-out to have no reverse gear, a broken rear spring, a knackered clutch, no drivers side window, and a big hole in the radiator.
I don’t think “shocking decision” really covers going to another country and torturing, raping, maiming and slaughtering it’s inhabitants.
Maybe i’m just old-fashioned?

Here in Australia we all know that the Greens have gone well beyond their relatively harmless tree hugging policies and now have policies that are more extreme than even the Socialist Workers Party and they also have an open door immigration policy that even Trudeau would admire. Only young deluded fools or ageing communists vote for the Greens, BUT, they do get a good vote. This means that under our preferential voting system the Australian Labor Party can get Greens preferences in any election and as such the Labor Party here will compromise with the Greens in order to get these Greens preferences. In other words the Greens with all their loopy left policies have an enormous influence in Australian politics.
Ray Jarman says
JBM, Even in 1999, the Greens were borderline communists. Their agenda was to provide every person a decent income whether they were deadbeats on the dole or they worked hard to provide for themselves. They believed that stealing through taxes from the working person to provide a comfortable life style for those on the dole. At the time they and the Greens of Germany advocated the same policy of communism and unfortunately the Democrat party in America has adopted the same policies. In regards to the IS criminals the Greens know nothing of history. If they study the rewards heaped upon Lev Kamenev and Leon Trotsky, a plot of earth in some deserted mound of earth. Or maybe be entombed in a glass covered coffin for viewing as Stalin had Lenin placed in after he poisoned him. The wolves always eat their allies first and the Greens would probably be the first on the menu for IS.

Remember the days when the Greens were about the environment? My father was a Greens voter in his lifetime- and he voted for the Greens because they were all about the environmental causes. Days long past, I’m afraid. They need to go back to fighting against things like mass deforestation and keeping chemicals out of the water table.
As for Di Natale – I find his attitude fits well for him. After all, his idea of wanting to bring these animal’s back into Australia for prosecution and imprisonment revolves around the smug assertion that its the Australian taxpayer who needs to shoulder the weight of paying for the incarceration of these creatures.
And who better to have the arrogance of assuming that tax dollars should be spent willy-nilly on things that in NO WAY remotely benefit the taxpayer themselves, than a Greens Politician? The only link the Greens have to their past environmentalism is the idea that apparently, taxpayer money just grows on trees.
This is the same guy who wanted to introduce laws that would mean no Australian would ever be referred to by their gender. That no Australian would be ALLOWED to refer to another by their gender. The same guy who despite being a well educated medical Doctor, fought hard – really hard to shut down the the Nuclear Heights reactor plan – despite the fact that at this plant a lot of life saving medicines are created for people with diseases such as breast cancer, lung cancer and prostate cancer.
In essence, he’s an out of touch lunatic running a party filled with out of touch lunatics. For God’s sake, when someone like that idiot, Tanya Pilbersek from the Australian Labor Party disagrees with your idea as being too far Left-wing, then you know you’ve jumped the shark on pragmatism and logic.

The Green movement has pretty much always been a cover for radical marxists seeking alternate ways to gain central control over economics and social policy.
After the collapse of the USSR, when the politics of Marx had been shown up for the unworkable guff it always was, many of the ardent faithful miraculously transmuted into Green Party leaders.
