Will the Islamophobia never end?
“Christians Wounded in Muslim Attack on Church Service in Pakistan,” Morning Star News, March 20, 2018:
LAHORE, Pakistan (Morning Star News) – At least seven Christian worshippers were injured in an armed attack by local Muslims on a church service on Sunday (March 18) in southern Punjab Province, Pakistan, the church pastor told Morning Star News.
Pastor Haleem Feroze Masih of the King Jesus Church in Burewala, 155 miles (251 kilometers) southwest of Lahore, said he was leading the service when at least 15 local Muslims led by Muhammad Sharif entered the church compound around 1 p.m. and attacked the congregation.
The attack was preceded by a clash outside the church building.
“Some of our church elders were trying to install a flex signboard in connection with the upcoming Easter festival on the wall in front of the church but they were stopped by Sharif’s sons,” Pastor Masih said. “Sharif is a local tough who has previously grabbed a piece of the Christian cemetery in our colony and built a cattle shed on the graves. He is also running a gambling den and is known to patronize criminals.”
Last Christmas, Sharif had installed a sign on the wall in front of the church building in Burewala’s New Christian Colony congratulating the congregation on the holy occasion, but church members later noticed that it contained photos and phone numbers of Sharif, his sons and others, Pastor Masih said.
“Suspicions also arose when these Muslim youths started hanging out near the church during service timings and began teasing our girls,” he said.
Pastor Masih said that he and other church elders spoke about these matters with Sharif and the other Muslims “a couple of times,” but they refused to take down the sign or stop their young men from harassing the Christian women.
On Sunday (March 18) church elders tried to replace the Muslims’ sign with their own, but Sharif’s sons stopped them, he said, adding that the property belongs to a Christian.
“The elders tried to reason with the youths, but it seems that the Muslims intentionally wanted to pick a fight with us,” he said.
The Muslims snatched the church’s sign and tore it into pieces, Pastor Masih said.
“One of our church elders told the Muslims that they had desecrated biblical verses inscribed on the flex sign, to which they responded that, ‘We are bigger than your Jesus,’” he said.
The Muslims stormed the church compound and began beating church members with batons and bricks, he said.
“Some of them whipped out their weapons and opened fire on the church members, who ran to save themselves,” he said. “I immediately telephoned the police and headed out to try and defuse the situation. However, I was also beaten up, my service robe torn and my mobile phone smashed to the ground. I think we were fortunate that none of us suffered a fatal bullet injury during the clash.”
Pastor Masih said the assailants even attacked police when officers arrived.
“They also pelted stones at the police, but the policemen managed to arrest Sharif, his sons and another unidentified man from the spot while the others fled along with the weapons,” he said….

There are many Muslims who strongly dislike Christians. Some Muslims even hate Christians so much that they even become violence against them and burn their Bibles. One reason for this is that in the mosques and madrasas the Muslim clerics, as the imams who speak many awful and unproven terrible things against Christians and Christian doctrine. So much so the many Muslims get all worked up against Christians and Christian teachings and some those Muslims commit violent actions against Christians. Such false religious teachers, as those Muslim clerics, who speak to people unfounded and invalid evil things about Christians and Christian doctrines have been described in the Bible. For the Bible informs the reader in Second Peter 2:12. “They speak evil of things they do not understand, and will utterly perish in their own corruption.” [N.K.J.V.]
It also should be make clear that in this specific above Bible verse, as well as in John 3:16. The word “Perish” does not mean loss of being but loss of well-being. As in going to ruin by ending up in languishing in torment in a terrible place of suffering that the Bible calls hell. Luke 16:19-31.

The main reason Muslims hate Christians is because they have not become Muslims.

Which will give the police and the locals all the excuse they want to close and demolish the church, then murder or drive out the Christians.
It needs foreign aid to Pakistan to be made conditional on the protection of the non-muslim population.
But since Cameron, May, Merkel etc couldn’t give a damn, don’t expect any EU country to lift a finger.

Exactly, Phil. All non-Muslims in Pakistan make up less than 2% of the popuation. If Chirstians dared resist, Muslims would slaughter them outright, likely with support from the police.

Islam is a corrective belief system. It’s not a religion per se, it’s a life belief system. We see all this in the episode reported by Spencer. First, the disagreement is Jesus (nee Yahweh) vs. Allah. Second, the military arm of the “religion” of Islam, which translated means Submit!, swung into action to enforce correction on the Paki Christians.
Fight until there is no God but Allah.

Note to Prime Minister Orban: bring in Christian refugees. You’ll be doing both a good deed and giving those EU thugs a symbolic “finger” at the same time.

The violent and vicious Muslims their murderous persecution of Christians aren’t really going to get away with their destruction of Christians. As the apostle Paul had written each individual Christian is actually, in the View of God, a temple of God. For to Christians, it is written in the Bible “Don’t you know that that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? If anyone destroys God’s Temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple.” First Corinthians 3:16,17. [N.I.V.] As in “A man reaps what he sows.” Galatians 6:7.

What was the language of this exchange of words? Did the Muslims really say “Jesus”, not “Isa”? (And did the churchmen reply “Isahu akbar”?)

Perhaps Pope Frances would like to comment ??? Very strictly

I’m wondering whether or not these Christians pay taxes to the government and, if so, why aren’t they being given the protection which they should be given in return? What laws were broken here and just exactly who were the ones who broke the law? I am particularly confused about the part where the Muslims tried to stop the Christians from taking down a sign that was on property belonging to Christians. Huh?
Marco says
Because the govt is a Muslim govt.
CogitoErgoSum says
Marco, yes, it is a Muslim government but if the Christians pay the Jizya, or whatever tax it is that the Muslim government says they must pay, the Muslims are then obliged to protect the Christians. I think the problem here is that the Christians are not “humble” and “submissive” enough to suit the local Muslims ….. which I doubt will ever be possible for the Christians.
gravenimage says
CogitoErgoSum, two points.
Firstly, Christians and other Infidels in Pakistan are not technically paying the Jizya, athough they are badly persecuted there. Hence, individual Muslims believe they can do anything they want to humiliate and abuse Christians–and they are usually allowed to get away with it–don’t expect any serious consequences for this attack, nor the harassment that preceded it.
Moreover, afraid I’m you are mistaken if you believe that Christians are really protected under Shari’ah, even if they do pay Jizya. For instance, just their having a sign–on Christian property or not–can be seen as their “publicly displaying their faith”, which is forbidden under dhimmitude.
LeftisruiningCanada says
Sadly true about the sign. It seems quite islamic to target that as those muslims did.
Once they saw that the kuffar were not going to stop with their signs, the next step was the violence inside the building.
CogitoErgoSum says
Graven, I understand but Jizya is not defined anywhere in the Quran except as a “payment” of some sort and I did say that it’s impossible for the Christians ever to be humble and submissive enough to suit the local Muslims. Since Muslims control the government in Pakistan I’m thinking the government takes the place of a Caliph. In this case the Pakistani government (Caliph proxy) has the duty of carrying out Quran 9:29.

I am pretty sure the guy who said that was guilty of blasphemy. Isa (Jesus) is a prophet of Islam according to Muhammad and Allah. He is important enough to get the obnoxious “peace and blessings be upon him” tagline. I think the Shariah punishment for that is torture followed by execution; one hand and one foot chopped off, then bleeding to death. You know, the kind of stuff all the internet police and EU politicians ignore.

Honest Ali is not the only one who has questioned Saul of Tarsus. Romans 10 & Romans 13 have been used by unjust rulers to establish the divine right of kings and to keep the people they are oppressing from rebelling. I do not agree with the divine right of kings. i don’t believe that unjust laws should be obeyed. One of my ancestors escaped in the underground rail road. Should he have remained in slavery? I believe that Jesus would have told Onesimus to run after giving him salvation. I don’t believe that Jesus would have sent him back to his master. I believe that Jesus would have given Onesimus some money, new sandals and a cloak to help him run to freedom. Neither Pol Pot or Hitler could I live under without rebelling in some way.
Jesus call to non violence was specific to his mission to die for the sins of man as God’s plan of salvation. If Jesus had allowed his followers to defeat those who arrested Him in the garden how could He make it to the cross? Early Christians were out numbered and could not openly resist.
Christ finished his mission on the cross. He said ” It is finished” John 19:30 KJV.
The early Christians witnessed by their martyrdom. There is no reason why Christians today have to be willing martyrs of themselves, their wives or children.
I have the right of self defense. I have the right to defend my family. I see no contradiction. Being a willing martyr today does not expand Gods Plan of salvation through Jesus Christ. You cannot improve on a job already well done. Peace to all.
