Jill Duggar is part of the popular reality TV series 19 Kids and Counting. She decided to reach out to the “diverse community.” She knows little about cultures, but decides to be “nice” and impress her fans by marching into a mosque. But she does so with her hair in a “messy bun” and wearing short sleeves, yet she expected to be greeted cordially for her kind outreach.
Jill believes that she must do her part to reach out to people of a different ethnicity, and feel good about herself for doing so. Her arrogance typifies the feminist left: they think that all cultures are waiting on their love and approval. They do not realize that they are regarded as inferiors under Islamic law, as infidels, as “trash” for their freedoms to dress how they choose. Take, for example, Mohammed Shafiq of the UK-based Ramadhan Foundation, who described the mentality of Muslim rape gang perpetrators. They are taught that uncovered infidel women deserve to be “abused” (Quran 24:31, Quran 33:59). He stated that these men are “racist” and many of them “do not see white girls as equal, as valuable, of high moral standing as their own daughters, and their own sisters, which is wrong.”
So Jill Duggar reached out to a mosque for Ramadan, and it didn’t go quite the way she had planned:
“She should have had her head covered in a mosque out of respect”….”That right there speaks volumes about her respect”….. “I really hope you aren’t trying to convert Muslims”
Duggar’s fans should be “freaking” instead over her status as a woman in the mosque. Like far too many, Duggar is clueless about Islam; in her world, only diversity, tolerance and wide-open heart and borders matter. Leftist feminists cannot be bothered to concern themselves about female oppression, human rights abuses and the like.
I will never forget the story once told to me by a Muslim intellectual woman, who finally quit going to mosque after being openly scolded because her fringe was peeking out from under her head-covering. She replied “screw you” and never went back.
“Fans Freak After ‘Disrespectful’ Jill Duggar Visits a Mosque for Ramadan and Doesn’t Cover Her Head,” by Emy LaCroix, In Touch (thanks to The Religion of Peace), May 23, 2018:
Here we go again! Jill Duggar has been called out for hypocrisy a lot lately, and it only got worse on May 2. “Okay where are we at?” Jill asks a Muslim woman. “We are at a mosque and we have Iraqi feast for Ramadan. We’re glad to see you here!” said her companion. Jill didn’t quite explain why she was there, but she did ask what they were eating and said it was all “very good.” But fans were less concerned with the food than her outfit: a short-sleeved t-shirt and messy bun.
“You shouldn’t go into a mosque not covered out of respect. You also take off your shoes,” said one commenter. “She should have had her head covered in a mosque out of respect,” insisted another. “That right there speaks volumes about her respect.” It’s certainly interesting that a person whose family preaches modesty wouldn’t respect the modesty rules of another culture, but some fans thought Jill’s actual reason for being there might be a worse offense.
3 when she visited a mosque for Ramadan. Fans freaked out, calling her “disrespectful” for not covering her head while in the holy building. Watch the controversial video, below.
“I really hope you aren’t trying to convert Muslims,” said one person. Another had a different idea of why she might be there: to do damage control for her husband Derick Dillard’s recent pro-Trump comments. “Of course it’s a PR stunt. Notice they only use these kind of posts when Derick has done something wrong. It absolutely can’t be taken seriously and it’s actually more offensive knowing it’s all an act.”
That being said, many fans were excited to see her reach out to a culture different than her own. “Glad she is open to differences because her husband sure as hell isn’t,” said one fan. Another supporter agreed, writing, “You are an amazing human being and I love that you are sharing Ramadan with us. Ramadan is a holy month full of love and charity. You are an amazing woman Jill, and as a Muslim American I love y’all & yalls show. Thank you for being open minded and enjoying this holy month with us ❤ love you girl.” Hopefully her intentions were as pure…..

Her knowledge of Islam is probably that of 80% of the populace. Islam was banned from the US in 1952 because of their stated goal to implement Sharia, that entails the overthrow of the US Constitution. Why we are letting them in now is a mystery to me.
Mark Spahn (West Seneca, NY) says
Hi Bev. You say, “Islam was banned from the US in 1952”. I have never heard of this. Please cite a source. Banned by whom? Is the ban still in effect? Are there any penal provisions attached to this ban?

The Immigration and Naturalization Act of 1952
Title II, chapter 2, “GENERAL CLASSES OF ALIENS INELIGIBLE TO RECEIVE VISAS AND EXCLUDED FROM ADMISSION”, Section 212, sub (a), part (11): “Aliens who are polygamists or who practice polygamy or advocate the practice of polygamy”

Clap,
Thanks for the information which coincides with the restrictions that are derived from the 1952 McCarran-Walter Act, which is known as the Immigration and Nationality Act. The only rational reason for Section 313 is that the Communist Party explicitly states that its raison d’être is the overthrow of the Constitution, i.e., sedition. Personally, I see no difference between sharia and the Communist Manifesto as both advocate in no uncertain terms the imposition of dictatorial suppression by the government. Unfortunately the both laws only affect those seeking entry into the nation. I think that both should be prohibited as they both preach sedition.

Her actions, however naïve they may have been, were likely taken with the best intentions.
One should certainly comply with the religion’s expected code of conduct when visiting one of its houses of worship. It is rude and disrespectful not to do so. To have a requirement to wear a headscarf in a mosque, regardless of your religion, does not imply ulterior motives and is simply requesting compliance with the host’s traditions.
When visiting many synagogues, for example, one is expected to wear a head covering and it is just respectful to do so. If it were an orthodox synagogue it might be insisted upon. This is in no way designed to subjugate the individual or to force them to be subservient to Jewish Law but just to conform to Jewish tradition while in a Jewish house of worship.
When such a breach of ethics becomes known it would be appropriate to apologize and try to remedy the situation (i.e. cover your hair) and, if no remedy is available, then apologize and leave.
No harm done. Isn’t that unreasonable?
If it’s just a publicity stunt and you haven’t done your research then don’t cry “foul” when you are called out on it because you earned a bad reaction. Of course muslims tend to overreact to real and perceived slights when they are just innocent mistakes. Going ballistic, however, and throwing out all sorts of stupid insults is a bit excessive.

This is quite selective reporting, completely ignoring the comments that don’t confirm your pre-existing prejudices.

I didn’t have any until 9/11. Capische? And after all of the post-9/11 Jihads.
It’s right, reasonable, rational to be prejudiced against Islam and its deluded, murderous followers.
AvantiBev says
Capisce. Or when addressing the plural “you” as in “Have you all understood?” would be: Avete capito?

So–there were Muslims who were *not* offended? Well, that means there is no problem, then…sarc/off
Carol says
I guess she meant well. Perhaps she should have been more educated on what to wear by her host, especially in a religious feast, if required for all visitors. However, usually the dress code is for Muslims only, not “infidel” non-Muslims. In regards to her husband “not respecting cultures”, I guess transgenderism is now a “culture” and not a “disorder”. He was simply pointing out that the “girl” needed help. And.

I personally wouldn’t go near a moslim barracks out of Respect for my God.
islam doesn’t deserve respect. And if one shows undeserved respect by donning their clothing, eating their food, calling their book “holy” or their raper of children, mass murderer, a so-called prophet, this is a bowing to the beast.
There is a news feed… from “Mental Floss” that tells us 9 things we must do:
https://www.msn.com/en-us/lifestyle/mind-and-soul/9-things-you-should-keep-in-mind-around-someone-observing-ramadan/ss
It tells us not to be afraid of eating our own food in their presence. If one does that, he/she should watch out for acts of violence. At the least, accusations of a certain “phobia.”

I don’t want to go near any mosques for the same reasons. I am not obligated to “reach out” to followers of a supremacist death cult who despise me.
Lydia Church says
This is what happens in cases like this.
I think of the scene on ‘Footloose’ when the preacher’s daughter was standing between two cars, one foot on the window of one and the other foot on the window of the other, the road beneath her, hands up in the air screaming at the thrill of it all as a huge truck was headed straight at her, honking away. One finally pulled her into the car window or she would have been road kill.
It’s like that.
If you claim to be a Christian, you can’t set foot into a pagan temple like a muslim mosque (which is not holy, nor is the koran) or anything like that or you will offend Jesus (God). You are not to associate with them in a participatory way such as ‘celebrating’ a holiday with them (one of theirs) because that is compromise. You don’t win converts by dancing in the enemies camp, rather; they win you that way because you have just joined them and it can’t be both ways. We are called to separate from the unsaved and be holy, that is what God called us to do. That is how we are shining the light and being an example, not by joining in with the darkness. We are supposed to share the gospel also, without which no one will get saved. Charity is great, just don’t give it to terrorism. Anyway, so you don’t win on that end, you only lose.
On the other end, they will not be happy either because you never went far enough. You will have ‘offended’ someone because you did not convert all the way. They will never be happy. As one can see by the outcome of this.
You only end up as road kill.
Don’t do it.

Jill Duggar may be naive (though sometimes I think in reality the Duggars are “dumb like foxes”), but Jill Duggar, unless she has strayed REALLY far from the rest of the group, is probably about as far from leftist or modern day feminist as it gets (note to author).
And why would anyone care if she went there to evangelize? What would be wrong with that? So odd that people think that would be their business, and that people are so defensive of Islam. Curious to know if the same people would be as incensed by Muslims’ proselytizing.
Ann Marie says
She has led a very sheltered life… That being said, I hope the pastor at the church she attends understands the dangers of Islam. If that isn’t being taught, obviously she would be attending this event with a naivete which would make her open to their lies and propaganda. If she knows that islam is more than a religion, it could be a fact finding mission..
The fact she didn’t cover her head of or remove her shoes was a good sign. She was not going to bow down to their culture.
There are many ways to look at this: only she knows the truth.
Carolyne says
“Where are we at?” Her grammar is the equivalent of her knowledge of the world and civilized behavior, i.e. not overpopulating by producing myriads of low IQ children.Growing up she was probably not allowed to read any books other than the bible so one can feel sorry for her for her lack of basic knowledge. She should not, in fact, have entered a den of iniquity, a mosque, even if she knew the ridiculous rules.
Have a nice day, “Y’all.”

I am confused by these comments by Christine:
“Her arrogance typifies the feminist left: they think that all cultures are waiting on their love and approval.”
“Like far too many, Duggar is clueless about Islam; in her world, only diversity, tolerance and wide-open heart and borders matter. Leftist feminists cannot be bothered to concern themselves about female oppression, human rights abuses and the like.”
Since when has a member of the Duggar family been considered a feminist OR a member of the left? I’ve always considered them to be very conservative Christians, and if they have any political leanings it would be toward the right. Maybe I’ve misread something, but I don’t think Christine has her facts straight and I’m disappointed in her reporting.
