These self-righteous fascist thugs can be found on virtually every campus in the United States. The freedom of speech is being consistently denied to those who dissent from the hard-Left agenda, while administrators stand by, also subscribing to the “hate speech is not free speech” slogan, which effectively guts the freedom of speech altogether. Note that these particular fascists consider concern for the Armenian Genocide to be “white supremacy.” That’s how it works: first give the speech a defamatory label, and then shut it down accordingly. The same thing has been done for years with concern for jihad terror and Sharia oppression, which all too many Americans and Europeans have been conditioned to believe is “Islamophobia.”

“Anti-Israel Activists Try to Shout Down Lebanese Christian at UCLA,” by Elizabeth Harrington, Washington Free Beacon, May 18, 2018:
Pro-Palestinian students at UCLA attacked a Lebanese Christian sharing the story of his grandparent’s survival of the Armenian genocide for “white supremacy.”
Police had to be called to a student event celebrating indigenous peoples Thursday evening, where members of Students for Justice in Palestine stormed the room and ripped down Armenian and Jewish flags.
Students Supporting Israel at UCLA hosted an event, “Indigenous Peoples Unite,” bringing together three speakers from the Armenian, Jewish, and Kurdish communities to talk about “these peoples’ efforts in battling controversy, oppression, and revisionism.”
One of the panelists, Dario Ouliguian, a second-year UCLA linguistics major who is vice president of the Lebanese club, shared his perspective about being a descendent of a survivor of the Armenian genocide. Ouliguian also heads the Alan D. Leve Center for Jewish Studies Student Advisory Board.
Activists from the anti-Israel group Students for Justice in Palestine interrupted Ouliguian’s story, with one student walking up to Ouliguian, ripping down the “mother f—king” Armenian flag, and throwing Ouliguian’s notes away.
Other anti-Israel activists then surrounded the room, armed with blow horns and whistles, yelling, “Palestine will be free!” When a female student tried to diffuse the situation, the group only got louder.
“Israel is a terrorist state!” they yelled, and then took down the flag of Israel.
When Ouliguian tried to return to the microphone to talk about Armenia, the group started screaming, “F—k white supremacy!”
Campus police were called to remove the protesters, who shut down the event and occupied the room for roughly 15 minutes.
When police began escorting them out, a white student yelled in front of several African-American police officers, “UCLA is on the side of racism! And the terrorist state of Israel!”…

Don’t these vile fools realize that the Armenian Christians are an ancient indigenous people who suffered near-genocide at the hands of Muslim imperialists?
So what are they doing shrieking at an Armenian – a descendant of people who were nearly wiped out by imperialist invaders and occupiers of the Armenian ancestral homeland – and accusing him of being a ‘white supremacist’??? Don’t they know that it was the genocide of the Armenians that inspired *Hitler* to think he could get away with mass-murder on the grand scale?
That is, of course, assuming that these vicious thugs were non-Muslim.
If they are Muslims, then naturally they take the side of the Muslims, and would regard the jihad genocide of the Armenians, and the suppression of the non-Arab Kurds, as perfectly just, right and proper.

HELLO DDA AND ESPECIALLY ROBERT SPENCER —
My email is having a hissy fit currently, so I cannot send this link directly to Robert. This is an alternative way of doing so:

That will take you to the UCLA campus paper (Daily Bruin) coverage of the incident above in our JW blog. Will someone please pass this on to RS in an email ?
And, also, to readers here — Take a few minutes to put comments in the article’s bottom template. My experience is that the Bruin does NOT censor what is submitted, if it is not obscene or threatening.

“HELLO MS. SINGER — For readers who do not know, “dhimmis” are people forced to pay a tax imposed on Infidels in Islamic sharia-ruled countries. By the way, here is a request to all UCLA Muslims: let protest organizer BURKAN ARANKI know that I am shredding his reputation by recommending that everyone do a Google & Facebook search of stuff he put up on the web. Draw your own conclusions as to whether he has a 12 year old mind misfortunately glued into an older body. And BE SURE TO DIRECT HIM TO THESE VIDEOS BY DAVID WOOD: “Muhammad — The White Prophet With Black Slaves”, “Three Questions For Moderate Muslims”, “Allahu Akbar — Muhammad’s War Cry”, “The Jihad Triangle”, “Three Stages Of Jihad”, “What Is Taqiyya?”, “Inside the Kaaba”, and a masterpiece titled “How Muhammad Ali Was Deceived About Islam”. All of them contain citations from Islamic sacred sources collectively known as the Trilogy (Qur’an, Ahadith, Sura) establishing points Dr. Wood contends. He might be utterly embarrassed to be played for a fool by the clever strategists roaming our ectoplasmic ozone, but I hope he has the cojones to admit that and humbly beg forgiveness. We all make mistakes — I certainly have, during 69 years on our astonishing planet.”

Another Left-wing idiocy.
It seems that unless you are a client of the far Left, you do not count as indigenous. In Viet Nam, the Degar population of the Central Highlands has dropped a bit since “liberation”, but nobody’s noticing it. I don’t think anyone had a kind word for the Tibetans until after June 4, 1989. Isn’t it strange that nobody seems to notice the “Indigenes” of ‘Eretz Yisroel reclaiming their patrimony from a settler people (albeit one that started its occupation in the 7th century A.D.)?
The other thing I wonder about all this consciousness-raising over indigenous peoples is if anyone will ask the Navajo and Apache to get their Na-Dene (****)s back to the Yukon and Alaska, and leave the Desert Southwest to whatever descendants of the Anasazi they might be able to scare up.
Julea Bacall says
At least the protesters were removed. But was that all that happened to them with their vile hate speech?
There is hate speech which is not free speech for sure and it is in Mosques that quote the Qur’an and nazigroups who say Hitler had the right idea, or KKKlan who say ‘Hang the stinkin niggar’ or anti-Israel protesters who say Death to Israel and the dirty Joo, or people who incite throwing gays off the building.
There is hate speech and someone should day something when they hear it. But what was being discussed by the Armenian speaker was NOT hate speech. What the protesters did was. The worst hate speech I have ever heard today is quoted from the Qur’an. I do not believe it should be taught to children and I do not believe that is free speech and I do call for censorship. I do not think I am wrong. If the speech threatens, incites, slanders ect it has to be stopped. If it Threatens, incites, slanders.
Zimriel says
To be fair the Armenians themselves have intermittently claimed membership in the Eranshahr (roughly, “Aryan Oecumene”). On account of their language and culture being close to Parthian (especially), after centuries of off-and-on Iranian empire.
Although, I somehow doubt the protesters have studied the Late Antique Near East enough to appreciate these nuances. They probably think that “Aryan” has something to do with THAT guy.

Just when you thought that campus “leftist” culture couldn’t get any more frightening, they invent a new piece of madness. their idea here seems to be that to talk about the Armenian genocide is white supremacy because – why? Because Armenians are more light-colored than Turks? Is that even biologically accurate? Can anyone explain this?
utis says
For that matter, what the hell are “Palestinians?” Even Linda Sarsour admits (or used to say) she’s white. And for that matter, did even the Nazis attack speakers on campus and steal their notes?
This is the 2nd time this year I’ve heard of Antifa/whiny Middle Easterners who won’t migrate to other muslim countries attack free speech in academic America (which should be the sacred temple of free speech), while asserting their right to hate speech. I hope these punks are in jail now, on a civil rights charge.

All those Muslims who are so angered because President Trump recognized Jerusalem as the Capital city of the Jewish State of Israel are nonsensical. For the facts are Jerusalem was the capital of ancient Israel and likewise Jerusalem is the capital city of modern Israel. Those Muslims who are so very angry over this US embassy move to Jerusalem are a reminder that Benjamin Franklin had printed in POOR RICHARD’S ALMANACK “There are many reasons to become angry but very few good ones.”
Furthermore, many of the Muslim /Arabs who call themselves “Palestinians” are very mad that President Trump has recognized Jerusalem as the capital city of the State of Israel. Many of those same “Palestinians” were very happy when they found out about the mass jihad murders in America on September 11, 2001. So who cares if they are mad or not about the US embassy move to Jerusalem ?

Lydia Church says
Exactly Robert!
Your analysis is always hitting it on the nail.
There is a good reason why you are in this position and I am so thankful for you!
Lydia Church says
This is what I have observed on the battlefront in many ways in which it attacks Christianity:
It takes many forms (sin, false religion, etc.) but is like a tug of war most of the time, if not all.
It is the classical ‘good versus evil’ dynamics. There is no ‘neutral ground.’
If good is in power, evil feels threatened.
If evil is in power, good is threatened.
And logically so as they are opposed at opposite poles.
You can’t have both meeting in a happy middle.
There is no happy medium as compromise does not exist.
If you give evil an inch, it will demand one more. “Just one more, at the price of one more compromise, we will give you ‘peace’.” But of course, even then, that peace doesn’t come. Lesson: Never budge an inch, don’t give them an inch no matter what as no good thing can come from it.
Both sides claim ‘discrimination’ and all those related terms right now. Of course they can’t both be right. There are areas of subjectivity and spectrums, but not in this case. There is absolute moral truth (grounded in the Bible), and you can’t have both good and evil reigning at once, it is a logical contradiction.
So when good is in power, it will naturally ‘discriminate’ against evil and not tolerate evil, and rightly so!
Often, in the US, we have been reared on a mindset of a level field of plurality, such as with freedom of religion and so on. To a point this must be the case. It is not paradise on earth yet and we cannot dictate the beliefs of others as that is tyrannical. But we must be cautious not to go too far on that limb. In the name of ‘freedom of religion,’ all sorts of trojan horses are allowed in the fortress gate. That is what has brought the West to where it is today. On top of that, the abandonment of the Christian faith as they turn to unbelief and pagan religions, does not help.
There would be nothing wrong with the following situation, which would be very viable in Hungary; where Orban said he wanted a “Christian Democracy.” If I were there I would not allow any muslim schools or mosques or anything of the sort. Then, even if muslims were there, they would not want to live there because the law would be such that they would have to send their children to a Christian school. With practices that honor the God of the Bible in place, it wards off evil. No one is telling them what religion to have of course. But if the laws and the practices of the country favor Christianity, it does keep undesirables out, and things peaceful for the citizens and the country in the favor of God. And which muslims can complain? Just redirect them to the practices their countries have of persecution against Christians! End of argument. And, it’s OUR country, NOT theirs. Exactly.
Another example is gay marriage. Either it is legal or it is banned. According to the Bible, it is a sin and should be banned. That is the Christian stand. Of course we are not throwing anyone off the roofs, but they have made significant death and torture threats against the Christians who stand firm in the faith in word and deed, as living out our faith IS PART of our faith. Our faith does not allow for keeping it outside of any area of life or only within church walls, etc. But with this we also see a clear example of the either/or tug of war, and there is no neutral ground as either the law is for or against it. Thus it rightly must be against it, despite all the cries of ‘discrimination,’ as it is actually the Christian bakers who are being discriminated against for not ‘catering’ to sin, which of course we cannot do as it is against our faith and its practice. There is no “but what about…” here.
So people should not hold too staunchly to that level field of equality in every case as it is used at times for what is not good, and in another way it does not really exist as the rope will be pulled either towards good, or towards evil, there is no static plateau in the middle. At times you are only giving them more ground. So don’t be afraid to stand up for the good side, even when it is labeled as ‘intolerant,’ and the like, because the good side is the right side.

Where are gay people threatening to torture and murder heterosexual people? I must have missed that.
