Although the Swiss government caved to political correctness and rejected a burqa ban in early August, “the majority of voters in Switzerland’s canton of St. Gallen have supported the prohibition of face-covering garments in public spaces, making it the second region in the country to introduce such a ban.” St. Gallen is the fifth-most populous Swiss canton.
The first ban was in the region of Tacino, following a proposal about which its creator, Giorgio Ghiringhelli stated:
Those who want to integrate are welcome irrespective of their religion….but those who rebuff our values and aim to build a parallel society based on religious laws, and want to place it over our society, are not welcome.
The burqa has been banned in various countries on security grounds, or because it is inconsistent with Western values; sometimes it’s banned for both reasons. These countries have banned the burqa: France, Austria, Denmark, Belgium, Netherlands, Bulgaria, China, Tajikistan, Morocco, Latvia, Cameroon, Chad, Congo-Brazzaville, and Gabon.
“Second Swiss region votes in favor of ‘burqa ban,’” RT, September 23, 2018:
The majority of voters in Switzerland’s canton of St. Gallen have supported the prohibition of face-covering garments in public spaces, making it the second region in the country to introduce such a ban.
The northeastern region held a referendum on Sunday to decide whether stricter rules on the face veils are necessary, among other issues. Around 36 percent of the region’s half-million population came out to cast their votes, and nearly 67 percent of voters supported the new law, official results show.
St. Gallen, the fifth-most populous Swiss canton, will become the second region in the country to approve such a measure, following the example of the southernmost canton of Ticino. A complete ban on wearing burqas and niqabs in public places came in force in Ticino is 2016, with non-compliance punishable by fines ranging from 100 Swiss francs ($104) to 10,000 ($10,400). The Italian-speaking canton has a population of 350,000, around two percent of whom are Muslim….
ontheridge says
The fines are not enough. Tell the burqa wearers that they will also be arrested and strip searched in front of ten men, and be given a short spaghetti strap dress to wear while they spend two weeks in jail, where they will be fed only ham soup and pork sandwiches.

Why is the Swiss Government & just about all other Western Governments supporting Muslim Culture over the Wishes & Votes of their own Populations?
Our Wishes & Votes in the USA are ignored, just like the Swiss Votes. Our Governments invited the Enemy Army into our Own Countries & these GOVS stand with Islam.
In the USA, where the UN & Local Authorities decided how to blanket every State’s Quota of Muslims, the
American Voters were not even consulted.
It does not seem to matter how we vote, the DEM Party, which is the Party of Migration, owns our Judiciary, both Fed, State & Local.
If the Vote is Not DEM, the Judiciary, under DEM Control, simply writes
Off The Votes Of the Citizens.
We were able to vote a Good President into our WH, but even that Vote is being challenged & DENIED.

Big business wins, as these “refugees” are consumers and need to be fed, clothed, housed. Big business wins, as the pressure of these “refugees” will bring the social systems to the brink of collapsing – social security of the workers was always against corporate interests.
An army of small businesses wins as these people are feeding masses of social workers, language schools, companies that deliver accomodation, medical treatment and so on. Not to mention an army of lawyers acting “in their interests”, most of whom are also from foreign-born families, even if born in the European or Western countries.
Moreover, being third-world
scumflotsam and mostly muslim, these “refugees” breed like rats unlike the native populations who, in two generations after WW I, regained control over their own fertility – remember the “pill” – and now think it responsible to only have children when they can afford them. Hence low fertility, caused by below-decent-living wages.b.a. freeman says
i don’t think it’s *any* business that wins, Ole. yes, some big businesses, like googal, fakebook, twister, and the like benefit, but only in their social justice points; they don’t get any money for it, but they do feel really good about themselves, and that’s all that counts after they get their money from us. as for small businesses, i know lots of owners of those who are leftist as well, and none of them is making a dime off indigents. and if U say that small businesses benefit when they sell their wares and services to the state on behalf of the muslim invaders, then what, pray tell, should they do? if one is selling toilet paper, should one stop selling it? what about bottled water, pencils, insurance, or accountancy services? just because one deals in these things does not make one complicit in the crimes of any with whom one has done business, any more than the airlines, or the oil companies producing jet fuel, or the companies providing airline food, were at fault for the 9/11 attacks.
as far as “social security” goes, in the u.s., at least, it has *always* been a tax presented as being “earned” by those paying the tax. the money i have paid into the national ponzi scheme was used to “buy” treasury bills (actually IOUs) so that the national government at the time could blow the money on their favorite earmarks (their health insurance, their “retirement” benefits, buying votes with spending tax money on local projects, etc.). that money is long gone, along with all the other taxes i paid. FDR was a liar who called it an “account” so that “social security” could live forever and be his legacy. well, it *is* his legacy – a legacy of lies and theft, just like everything else from the left. and like most of the left today, both hard-core and nominal, FDR thought he was smarter, and better, than all the stupid stinking masses whom he had to lead by the nose because they were so stupid. thanks for the memories, FDR, U a**hole.
and as for low fertility “caused” by below-decent-living wages, the low fertility is caused by the economic decisions of citizens, not low wages. most extremely wealthy people have just a few children, not armies of them, even though they could afford exactly that. wages used to be a lot lower, even in normalized terms, than they are today, yet families were a lot bigger. yes, it was the pill that allowed people to have fewer children, but the pill didn’t come from low wages. instead, the democrats have done their best to gut the nation by keeping the borders open. i agree that there are a lot of illegal aliens sneaking in, but were they able to get decent jobs, their birth rate would drop, too; fewer children mean the parents have more money per child, and more for themselves. the solution to illegal immigration is simple. if an employer knowingly employs illegal immigrants, he has to pay $10 000.00 per day of employment per illegal alien as a fine, plus he must spend some time in prison. if he employs illegal aliens unknowingly, he must fire them immediately upon his discovery of them, plus pay a fine of $100.00 per day per illegal immigrant. after a few scumbags (like some of the leftist elites employing “undocumented” nannies) end up broke and in prison, employment for illegal aliens would dry up, and they would all go home. as an additional encouragement for them to do so, ICE could run buses to the borders and issue them visas so they could get back home. the illegal aliens aren’t the problem; they’re just here for big bucks (compared to what they can make back home, $2.00 per hour is BIG money). the problem is people who take advantage of illegal aliens, and scumbag politicians who lie and lie and lie to keep illegals coming in. the democrats lied in the 1980s (“if we have an amnesty, we’ll fix immigration; trust us!” … and i foolishly did), and since their lips are moving now, they’re lying about it today.
finally, given your remark about low wages, i presume that U believe that the minimum wage should be increased. the minimum wage is a barrier to entry-level employment, and an incentive for employers to spend money on automation so that they don’t need to hire anybody at entry level, thus avoiding tax- and child-labor-law liability. how many people do U know who make a living doing entry-level jobs? i’m sure U know some young people who get minimum wage, but after a bit, they’re almost all making more than that. do U think that there is an army of people out there who are *unable* to advance past burger-flipping and dish-washing? i have met folks who are addicted to alcohol and various other drugs, and they *do* live like that, when they have jobs; there are also those who live in assisted living facilities and have limited jobs, but they are a special case, and don’t need a general law passed to help them.
if there is a problem on the right, it is that many of them don’t seem to understand that for a republic to survive, its citizens need to step up and take care of their community *THEMSELVES*. the government can’t do it (just look at the failed “war on poverty”), because to the government’s employees, it’s just a *job*; U have to actually *CARE* about the people, and care enough to be willing to sacrifice to help. U have to not only help your neighbor, U have to get involved with him – to be his friend. throwing money at a problem is a coward’s way out, especially since there are so many on the left who are so willing to collect that money and use it to corrupt the republic. the citizen *M*U*S*T* get involved, and has to care. yes, we pay our taxes, but that money is as good as gone, and almost certainly will help nobody. that’s why the national government, which *used* to be a federation of state governments up until 100 years ago, has to be so limited. and that’s why *WE* have to *GIVE A S**T*, and why we can’t trust the government to take care of it.

Swiss people can correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe the Swiss canton system has the following great feature. If you live on the border between two Swiss cantons, you can choose which canton’s government and laws you want to be under. Imagine you lived on the border between New York and New Jersey, and you could decide if your land was going to be part of New Jersey or part of New York. What that means is that if a canton is badly governed, it can very quickly shrink to nothing. Maybe that’s part of the reason Switzerland is one of the richest countries in the world.

Excellent that this happened. Muslim women who claim they feel liberated are not really different from the slaves who used to say they were not oppressed. Such Muslim women are not Uncle Toms but… what? Antie A’ishahs?
