In this new video, I discuss how MasterCard and Discover card have recently begun to refuse to process donations to the Jihad Watch organization, and the ominous implications of denial of service based on one’s political views.

I’ll bet MasterCard and Discover card allow donations to communist subversive groups!
I hope this will be litigated. Remember that the courts have held, in the context of campaign contributions, that donating infrastructure for the propagation of a political view constitutes free speech and is protected by the First Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. If my bank decided not to cash checks for Republicans, or Democrats, or activists concerned with any other issue(s), the courts would probably intervene. I’d speculate that the banks have expensive lawyers who tell them not to even think of taking any such actions. I’m not your lawyer and I’m not giving you legal advice, but I hope you are consulting competent legal counsel regarding possible responses.

It is telling that Muslims in non-Muslim countries seldom quote the Koran at length in public.
There is a reason for that.
It is telling that a Westerner who does quote the Koran at length is branded for ‘hate speech’.
There is a reason for that.

I believe Mastercard are just following someone else’s orders, they have a lot of business they don’t want to miss out on in those “peaceful” countries.

So potok of the SPLC admitted in 2007 he wants to DESTROY groups that he considers hate-speech?
WHO appointed potok to be the Judge,Jury and Executioner?Himself and the SPLC.
JW has been at the forefront of the war against islamic supremacist ideology and against islamic antisemitism, isn’t that so?
So any reasonable person would see JW is a force for good.
Did potok and the SPLC ever hear of SAHIH MUSLIM 6985?:islamic supremacist ideology’s version of the Final Solution. A Genocidal war AGAINST the Jews?
SAHIH MUSLIM 6985
Surely any organisation like JW that opposes such an insidious ideology is to be congratulated.
Not according to the virtue-signalling SPLC!
According to Metapedia,Potok is a “JEWISH propagandist”:isn’t it odd that a JEW would be in opposition to organisations like JW that fight islamic anti-semitism and warn people of the dangers of islamic supremacist
teachings that call for the destruction of …the Jews{SAHIH MUSLIM 6985}?
How can a self-styled “Jewish propagandist” be in opposition to what JW does{fighting AGAINST islamic antisemitism and its genocidal supremacist teachings}?
Perhaps potok is unaware of SAHIH MUSLIM 6985..or perhaps chooses to be unaware of it .. as the SPLC trample on free expression.WHO appointed the SPLC clansmen anyway to decide?
Typical hypocritical,virtue-signalling Leftists and communists:deny freedom of speech and pretend to care about freedom. That Potok admitted his goal was to DESTROY{2007} any organisation that the SPLC{-they alone-}decide are guilty of what{-they alone-}constitutes “Hate speech” is an outrageous misuse of the Law.
The SPLC seems to be A HATE SPEECH GROUP itself They are condemning and speaking out against the very group that is fighting hate speech .The SPLC Has long since used up it’s usefulness…if it ever had any usefulness at all….doubtful!
I’m done with master card and Discover as well.

It seems to me that Mastercard and Discover should consider the ethicality of denying people financial services. This isn’t only against Spencer it’s against anyone who wants to donate. To me this is a kind of financial terrorism or political fascism, it’s discriminatory and un-American. Denying people financial services can be like denying them food and water, it can literally mean the death of one’s livelihood and healthy survival. It should be the mission of every company to treat all customers fairly and not disqualify them for their religious or political views. The FTC should enforce protections against this kind of discrimination. According to their web site’s own listed protections Spencer could be a transvestite on welfare and a devil worshiper and still get credit, yet bizarrely, Discover and Mastercard think they have the right to deny financial services for his non-violent and legal views on a certain religion. It’s an absurd incongruity to me that one cannot be disqualified for adhering to any religion but be denied services because of their legal and peaceful views on a certain religion. On the OCC’s web site their stated mission is, To ensure that national banks and federal savings associations operate in a safe and sound manner, provide fair access to financial services, treat customers fairly, and comply with applicable laws and regulations. Master Card is a payment facilitator between banks among other things, so I don’t see how the OCC could exempt them and still fill their stated mission of “fair access,” and one would reasonably think that Discover would fall under the same umbrella of protections. These promises of fair treatment ring hollow when people are discriminated against for their legal and non-violent views on politics and religion. I can’t speak intelligently on this matter because I’m not a lawyer or an informed bureaucrat, but I can speak intelligently as a fair minded person who knows a screw-job when he sees one.

Agostino Armo Pellegrini, I don’t think there are any legal avenues to explore here. It is down to the basic fair and just principle. Where do these idiots intend to draw the line when they can cut off a funding source when they or their “masters” think they don’t like the political or religious persuasions of the person being funded. Who are these people who think they have such power over others that they think they can literally starve them out of existence? Where are the rights of the donors? The bottom line is that the money being forwarded to the likes of Robert Spencer and others of his ilk is NOT THEIRS. They are just the payment facilitator a go-between who has nothing more to do than just facilitate payment to the person that the donor requests them to do. If they advance credit to the payer allow the money to paid to the payee then the onus is on the payer, not the payee to repay that money. Time for some major changes in so many situations currently running rampant on this planet.
Agostino Armo Pellegrinisays
I reckon you’re right, there are no current “legal avenues,” just glaring inconsistencies in what is considered “fair access” regarding financial services. The same constitutional amendment that protects religious freedom protects freedom of speech. Why is Spencer’s right to share his lawful and peaceful views any less protected than religion? This is a disparity that I think needs to be addressed as a legal matter. Discover and Mastercard are discriminating for unjust reasons in my opinion. Current guiding regulations are in place for religion, race, sex, marital status, national origin, and whether or not one gets public assistance, so why isn’t ones fundamental right to free expression granted the same consideration? If a welfare recipient, for example, shouldn’t be discriminated against, then why shouldn’t a religious scholar be granted equal protection for his educated and honest views? Maybe I’m not sophisticated enough to understand, but it just doesn’t add up to me.

Mr. Spencer, I have been reading JW since I first came across your website thru LGF, A long time ago. So it is with dismay I watched your video about denial of donations to JW through Discover Card. Having had an account with Discover Card ( very active, I might add) I called their office today (10/12/18) to find out what Discover Card had to say about not processing donations to JW thru Discover Card. Neither the original agent or supervisor in the Ohio office could find any reason for not processing donations to JW. There was no information at their level in the organization about denying donations, they said. So I said to the super if I make a donation thru my Discover Card, assuming my account is in good standing, within the next week, it would go through? She said yes, lets do it right now while she was on the phone. Please forgive me but I didn’t do it today, but I did think if you would like to contact me thru my email I would being willing to do so as an experiment. As I explained to the supervisor, the fact that this denial of donation was not made as a business decision, but because of political decision, is highly worry some to me. As you say who is next? By the way I just received your latest book last week. –don vito–
