Mohamad Ayman Adlbi has up to this point been considered to be a “moderate”; otherwise he would never have become the president of the Islamic Commission of Spain (CIE), or if he had, would not have remained in the position very long. For many, to have questioned his perspectives, goals and loyalties before this arrest, and for some even to do so now, would be “Islamophobic.” If he is found guilty, the question should be raised of whether there was any delay or hesitation regarding this investigation so as to avoid appearing “racist.” But it won’t be.
“The main representative of Islam in Spain arrested in an operation investigating a jihadist financing scheme,” translated from “Detenido el principal representante del islam en España en una operación que investiga una trama de financiación yihadista,” by Patricia Ortega Dolz, El País, March 24, 2021 (thanks to Tom):
Mohamad Ayman Adlbi, the president of the Islamic Commission of Spain (CIE), the main representative entity of Muslims in Spain that maintains a direct line with the State administrations, was arrested this Wednesday by the National Police in the framework of an anti-terrorist operation. He is accused of being allegedly linked to a financing network of the jihadist organization Al Qaeda. After taking a statement from him at the police station, he was released. Along with Adlbi, 74, at least two other people were arrested, although the operation continues, according to police sources.
Agents from the General Information Commissary (CGI) of the National Police surprised the president, a doctor of Syrian origin, at his home in Madrid at dawn on Wednesday and took him into custody, as reported by El Confidencial. At the police station, they took a statement on his alleged connection to a jihadist terrorist financing network, and later released him until he is summoned by the judge of the National Court, who is heading this investigation.
Since he was elected last July, Adlbi has been president of the Islamic Commission of Spain (CIE), the body that manages all the activities of Muslims with the Government and the autonomous communities, in everything that has to do with the mosques, cemeteries, or schools, for example. “We must express our great displeasure that this resulted in arrest when it could have been resolved with an interview,” Adlbi said in a statement this Wednesday, in which he described the police suspicions as “unfounded” and showed his “trust in Justice.”
Adlbi assumed the presidency of the CIE last July. It was two months after the man who had been its president for many years died of covid, the also Syrian doctor Riay Tatary. All the Islamic religious communities in Spain are represented in the CIE. Tatary was a charismatic man, a historical Islamic representative, who had strong and recognized social and political roots in Spain, and who was imam of the mosque in the district of Estrecho (Madrid).
Successor
His current successor, Adlbi, is also president of the Union of Islamic Communities of Spain (UCIDE), in eternal rivalry with the Spanish Federation of Islamic Religious Entities (FEERI). Both organizations belong to the CIE and represent the two main factions of the Muslim community in Spain, with a predominance of the first, which brings together a greater number of associations.Since the death of Tatary, the change in the presidency of the CIE – which was carried out with the agreement of the Ministry of Justice (Subdirectorate General for Relations with Religious Confessions) – has kept intelligence agents from the security forces in suspense, since it is a position of maximum influence and relevance for the knowledge and control of the Islamic community in Spain.
The operation that has now led to the arrest of Adlbi had its roots, according to police sources, in a previous operation, from 2019, in which another ten citizens of Syrian origin were arrested. They called it Operation Wamor. At that time, the agents managed to unravel a clandestine financial system based on the falsification of invoices, concepts and records of different companies. The detainees allegedly withdrew money from each legal operation by substituting the actual amount of the operation on the invoice for a lower value. The difference went to a “box b” and was sent, in small quantities and in different ways, to the Syrian region of Idlib, where some of the detainees had family ties to members of the Al Qaeda militias that subsist there.

sympathizer of the Muslim Brotherhood. This man has recently succeeded another who died due to covid 19, that other was also a sympathizer of the Muslim brotherhood but was more discreet and was never detained. The same thing happens in all countries, the tentacles of Islamism reach everywhere because Islam and Islamism are the same.

Spain fought the muzzies for 700 years and finally defeated them in 1492. Why did they ever let them disease back into their country?

Because Spain is a democratic country that respects human rights where religious freedom exists, is part of the European Union and its common policies.
The problem is the Islamic ideology, its restrictions and its demands that destroy any secular society, for example France, a great country, an example of a secular and democratic republic (with its clear-dark colonial of course). Muslims are managing to lead France to the On the brink of civil war, Spain is going to end the same as France, it is already on that path.

Spain should understand their history. Being democratic does not mean that you have to suicidally accommodate hordes of invading Muslims.
