The Taliban have consistently lied about softening their stance toward women in order to gain international recognition as a legitimate government, with all the benefits that go with that recognition, particularly cash. But the Taliban are jihadis first and last. The only surprise is that anyone would ever have believed that the Taliban would consider women as equal human beings with rights.
Now the Taliban have come out with more nonsense to confuse useful idiots, vowing to uphold women’s “Sharia rights.” Women are inferiors under the Sharia.
Here is a Sharia “right” for women:
(Quran 24:31) And tell the believing women to reduce of their vision and guard their private parts and not expose their adornment except that which appears thereof and to wrap [a portion of] their headcovers over their chests and not expose their adornment except to their husbands, their fathers, their husbands’ fathers, their sons, their husbands’ sons, their brothers, their brothers’ sons, their sisters’ sons, their women, that which their right hands possess, or those male attendants having no physical desire, or children who are not yet aware of the private aspects of women. And let them not stamp their feet to make known what they conceal of their adornment. And turn to Allah in repentance, all of you, O believers, that you might succeed.
If a woman does not cover, she is fair game to be assaulted:
(Quran 33:59) O Prophet, tell your wives and your daughters and the women of the believers to bring down over themselves of their outer garments. That is more suitable that they will be known and not be abused.
Other “Sharia rights” include wife beating (cf. Quran 4:34, 38:44, Sahih Muslim 2127, Sahih Bukhari 7.77.5825), women’s inferiority (Qur’an 2:223), and male guardianship (Qur’an 4:34, Sahih Bukhari 7138:2). A woman’s testimony is worth half that of a male (Qur’an 2:282); she receives half the inheritance that her brother does (Qur’an 4:11). Child marriage is acceptable (Qur’an 65:4). After all that, a woman is more likely to go to hell ( Sahih Bukhari 3241; Sahih Muslim 2737).
“Taliban vows to uphold ‘Sharia rights’ of Afghan women on Women’s Day,” MSN, March 8, 2022:
Taliban authorities vowed to uphold the “Sharia rights” of Afghan women on Tuesday as human rights groups expressed concerns about the dire situation for Afghan women and girls under their rule.
Marking International Women’s Day, the Taliban Foreign Ministry said in a statement that it was committed to addressing the plight of Afghan women within the framework of “the noble religion of Islam and our accepted traditions.”
“International Women’s Day is a great opportunity for our Afghan women to demand their legitimate rights,” chief spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid said in a separate statement. “We protect and defend the rights of our Afghan women, God willing.”
Women and girls form nearly half of the population of the crisis-hit country.
The hardliners have severely restricted women’s rights to work and education since returning to power last year. Women who have protested for these rights have been intimidated, disappeared, or arbitrarily detained, sparking an international outcry.
In a statement, the United Nations’ special envoy for Afghanistan Deborah Lyons said the situation of women and girls in the country has become increasingly difficult due to the limits on access to opportunities.
Amnesty International said Afghan women and girls are unable to fully exercise their human rights under the Taliban, especially their right to education and work…..

Oh, yeah: the “right” to be beaten, the “right” to be raped as a child and on into deathhood, the “right” to wear garbage bag clothing from top of the head to the soles of the feet with only a slit to see, the “right” to be stoned if accused of adultery, the “right” to be divorced, but not to divorce, the “right” not to work or go outside without a male along, the ‘right” not to own things or to be believed…
So many “rights” those women have. All of their “rights” give the males among them so many privileges.

Spot on, somehistory. I think this is an oxymoron isn’t it. “Shariah rights for women” along the lines of that old example that I heard years ago “military intelligence”, which i never agreed with because i always thought the military did many things requiring intelligence. But rights for girls and women and Shariah are complete opposites except for the “rights” that you mention.

This is one example of how I would love to see the rights of men brought into line with the rights that women enjoy so much under sharia.
Any bets on how long it would take to suddenly find a new interpretation or their perfect book?

Taliban vow to uphold ‘Sharia rights’ of Afghan women
……………..
Yeah–the right to forced veiling, forced marraige, oppression, wife beating, “Honor Killing”, and stoning.
Walter Sieruk says
When a Taliban spokesman in referring to the question of the basic human rights of females, both girls and women, he declared” We guarantee all their rights within the limits of Islam.”
All aware people who understand Islam know that the last four words of that statement has an obvious meaning.
Which is that with Islam the rights of females are very limited. As in within the Islamic view, they have little to no rights at all. .
As this has been so well explained by Brigitte Gabriel in her book, entitled THEY MUST BE STOPPED in Chapter 9 of the title “Islam’s Contempt for Women” which informs its reader on page 171 “Control of behavior and disregard for human life are key elements in Islamic ideology.”
In addition, on the next page it further reads” Women in Islam are considered unclean, deemed inferior even to dirt.”
The tragic and sad reality is that Islam is a religion of brutal, cruel, harsh and even, at times, murderous misogyny.
Walter Sieruk says
The brutal cruel and murderous Taliban now rule all the land that is known as Afghanistan they rule under the tyranny of Sharia, which gives females, both girls and women, very little to no basic human rights at all.
Therefore, about Sharia law, it should be made known that the actual origin of Sharia law is revealed in a Time –Life book with the title MESOPOTAMIA: THE MIGHTY KINGS copyright 1995. The point is this history book about the ancient pagan world of Mesopotamia informs the reader that “many Islamic laws resemble the Babylon and Assyrian forebears.” . page 150.
There is the above and other references imply that such pagan teachings were incorporated into the religion that Muhammad manufactured and then started.
Thus this further reveals that a lot of ancient paganism is part of the whole religion of Islam.
In other words, ancient paganism makes up much of Islam. Therefore Islam with its Sharia law are a hoax.
