And now you know the rest of the story.
No actual surprises here. I’ve been telling people for a while that this is how it works. But this is the first direct insight from someone whose job it was to moderate this kind of thing coming forward and talking about how corrupted and broken the system really is.
Whistleblower Khaled Hassan started work at Crisp, a Leeds-based “digital risk intelligence” firm employed to moderate content for YouTube, in February 2021.
As an Egyptian-born Arabic speaker, his job was to identify hateful content in his native language and flag it to the video sharing giant to be removed.
YouTube, like a lot of big tech platforms, outsource moderation, especially of non-English content, to outside firms. Crisp, founded by Adam Hildreth, a local millionaire success story, is one of YouTube’s partners.
The problem with outsourcing moderating Islamic antisemitism to people who share those sentiments is obvious.
“I flagged some videos with the hate guys. They literally said ‘God curse the Jews’ and other brazenly antisemitic stuff,” Mr Hassan said.
But Mr Hassan was told that this did not apply to the videos he wanted to get YouTube to take down. His Crisp colleague wrote: “Unfortunately this stuff is not as clear cut as you think — particularly with hate speech.”
On 4 June, he complained about the failure to flag a video that featured a speaker praising Al Qassem [the Hamas armed wing] because it “terrorises Jews.” He was told by a colleague that this was “not violative” of YouTube’s policy. This was on the bizarre grounds that the word “Jews” is mentioned in the Quran, so the speaker was merely expressing religious views.
YouTube, which is quite happy to censor conservatives, also seemed quite resistant to taking down Islamic terrorists.
Mr Hassan’s concerns continued to mount. In August, YouTube failed to act on a report he wrote urging it to take down the channel of the Egyptian jihadist preacher Wagdy Ghoneim. As well as displaying flagrant antisemitism, Ghoneim said that those who had “collaborated” with NATO forces in Afghanistan deserved to be “punished” by the Taliban. The video was posted at a time when many who had helped the West were being shot.
Mr Hassan is heard asking one YouTube staffer why they had not removed a video he had flagged glorifying Baha Abu al-Ata, a Palestinian Islamic Jihad leader killed in 2019, who launched hundreds of missile attacks on Israel.
This, the YouTube official admitted, was a “grey area”; on the one hand, Islamic Jihad was a proscribed organisation, but on the other, al-Ata was not on YouTube’s list of 29 individual terrorists who were banned. There was therefore “no violation”, he said.
Mr Hassan asked YouTube why the jihadist Wagdy Ghoneim’s videos were still online, despite the fact that in 2017, the firm had to apologise for letting him “monetise” his hate-filled content by running adverts. Again, Khaled was told: “He is not a listed individual.”
The YouTube official conceded that Ghoneim “does talk about jihad”. However, he added: “[He] doesn’t say attack this place at this time or this person, so it doesn’t violate our policy overall”. Therefore, the videos were something “we will keep up”.
Mr Hassan pointed out that Ghoneim was wanted on terror charges in America and banned from entering Britain. The YouTube official shrugged. “Yeah, it’s really tricky with this guy,” he said.
But if you question global warming or the 2020 election, down you go.

This is so insanely evil.
If someone made a video and said they wanted the abbas guy dead as a doornail, but didn’t give a time, date and place for the event to happen, they would still be taken down.
Yet, a mozlum terrorist calls for someone, or many, to die and excuses are made to exempt that planned murder from censor.
If someone merely said that islam is evil or dangerous or that they don’t want islam to take over the world, down they would go, but a mozlum can say he has hatred for Jews, and he is allowed to stay up and say what he wants.
In the past, this would be called a double-standard. But, it just shows that some have no standards, no morals, no level to which they will not sink in support of evil.

Does YouTube poorly monitor all the major Islamic languages: Arabic, Urdu, Persian, Turkish, Malay, Indonesian?

Youtube is pro Islamic so much so that youtube doesn’t even allow us to use the word mudslime because it offends Muslims. Youtube has grown too big time has come to move out of it.

Thes policies have nothing to do with size, and everything to do with appeasing Islam.
Devasur says
Yes, and No, they are too big that’s why they are able to get away with appeasing Islam.

You’re talking mudslimes? One YouTube page I follow occasionally covers incidents of ‘love-jihad’, and when they mention that in the description, YouTube automatically inserts a Wiki link to the article on Love Jihad that claims that it is a conspiracy theory. Also, whenever I watch videos nowadays, I see countless ads not of products or services that may be useful, but rather, of muslims calling for donations to either convert a church into a mosque, or for some collection for Yemen, or some beardo asking me whether I’m a tammara or an uthruja. Yesterday, YouTube popped me a survey asking me about the ads, and I rated them Awful, which was the worst I could give them

Just as many of us suspected, that youtube has been using Muslims to moderate content. If Muslims ran youtube, this is what it’d look like.
I’ve had many posts deleted instantly by YT algorithms for mentioning Islam or Muslims. Often we’d have to invent new words to bypass the censors and even that stopped working. However lately I’ve noticed I’ve been able to get away with simply using Islam/Muslims directly. They even shut down one of my YT accounts.
Not to mention it always felt as if someone was tracking me in particular and would even delete comments that had nothing to do with Islam…since some times during the day any post would go through but other times almost nothing would.
So-called ‘Liberals’ are gambling with our lives by knowingly allowing Muslims to shape our information. Obviously Muslims will impose Sharia law on us, this is what they dream of doing and we handed them the keys to the city so to speak.
The worst platform for attacking free speech is Twitter….I’ve been banned numerous times under different accounts until I was perm. banned a few years ago. Last year I joined under a new account, new IP, etc but the censorship started all over again, so this time I’m the one who finally gave up on that garbage site.
Muslims know Islam is pure evil, they don’t care. They just don’t want us to know until they’re powerful enough to impose fascist theocratic state in western nations.
Social media was bypassing mainstream media and getting people well educated on Islam until the Red-Green Alliance put a stop to all of that.
I’ve heard people argue about breaking up these media giants. What we need is the return of absolute free speech on all these sites. Also remove all Muslim employees from them who have any contact with the information that is created and being spread.
Allow Muslims to post their terrorist, hateful content, then you know who is doing it. If those people are in our country, you send the CIA, FBI, CSIS, RCMP after them. If they’re in another country then you ban those individuals. Turn the tables on these monsters. Muslims will never allow us to have free speech, they don’t deserve it in return.
Leftists don’t seem to understand they’re in the service of a very evil, vicious enemy. This isn’t a game, there is no reset button. Once Muslims get the upper hand in this war, it’ll be very difficult to get our freedoms back without warfare.
Once again what’s really missing is a mass anti-Islam movement that demands the restoration of free speech and to have the media fight against the greatest evil in human history, Islam.

YouTube Outsourced Moderating Islamic Antisemitism to Antisemites
………….
None of this of course surprises. Antisemitism is a gore tenet of Islam.
