Refugee advocate Mona Elshayal is “shocked” that the refugee organization Polycultural “did not carry out police checks on people” who are working with Afghan refugees. But real estate agent Ghassan Alsouki is almost certainly a Muslim himself (or at very least an Arab working in a heavily Muslim area, Mississauga), as is apparently everyone named in this story. However, the unnamed non-Muslims at Polycultural or in the government were likely afraid of charges of “Islamophobia” if they paid attention to such niceties as police checks. That would be casting unwarranted suspicion on a member of a protected class in a country where the government is spending millions to combat “Islamophobia.” In other words, there is no reason to be shocked that no police check was carried out.
“Real Estate Agent Assigned to Help Refugees Facing Sexual Assault Charges,” The Canadian News, July 12, 2022:
…A CTV National News investigation has found that a Toronto-area refugee organization has been sending unsuspecting families to search for their first home with a real estate agent currently facing a sexual assault charge.
Ghassan Alsouki, who also works as a driving instructor, was charged with sexual assault by a student in January. Her criminal case is still before the courts.
A recent CTV National News story featured Abdul Basir Talash, a father of six. The family fled Kabul for Canadian soil 10 months ago. They have been living in what some are calling a “ghost hotel” for refugees west of Toronto for nearly a year. After we went public with their story, they were told that they would be taken out of the hotel and taken to a house while they await confirmation of their refugee status, which had been long overdue….
However, Trudeau’s government-contracted organization called Polycultural, which is paid to help resettle hundreds of refugees in Ontario, connected the Talash family and many other refugee families with Alsouki, as he faces a criminal charge.
Refugee advocate Mona Elshayal says she is “shocked” that “vulnerable” members of our community are in this situation.
“How come they (Polycultural) did not carry out police checks on people who have direct access outside the hotel, in the houses?”
Alsouki criminal charge previously reported onthough when Marwan Ismail, the CEO of Polycultural spoke to CTV National News, he said he and his staff had no idea about the sexual assault charge.
“No. No way. We didn’t know about this,” Ismail told CTV National News by phone….
CTV National News spoke with Alsouki by phone. He said that he does not believe he informed Polycultural of the sexual assault charges against him. He also said that he hasn’t taken any refugees recently, although the Talash family say he himself took them to see a house just two weeks ago….

In the state where I live a background check is required before a realtor license can be issued. I would assume Canada requires as much also. Whoever issued this man a license without proof of a background check should be fired and made to pay the specified penalty under Canadian law. This problem of ignoring the law by those who are supposed to enforce the law needs to come to an end – in both the U.S. and Canada. But with fools like Biden and Trudeau setting the example, it won’t happen anytime soon. Neither leader has any respect for the law.

Maybe because they defunded the police? Maybe because he’s part of the same “refugee” front and they’d look bad? Maybe they couldn’t agree on the definition of sexual assault because they can do no wrong by captives of the right hand? Maybe they did inform and the muslim who received the report buried it?
So, how many Canadians are they putting up in hotels and purchasing houses for? Why wasn’t the REA accused of assault denied bail like the woman who was involved in the protest?
So many questions.

she was bold to file a complaint, as in her former country, she would need four male witnesses to the assault.
staying in a hotel…some homeless poor of North American origin might be happy to get such accommodations. mozlums? Not so much. they should be happy to be in a non-mozlum, kinda’, run nation and not whine so much. But, there is never enough taking on their part, and demanding others cough-up better things.
and they would recognize another mozlum, wouldn’t they? So why not take precautions around the sleaze? They should be fully aware that a mozlum male is just as likely to sexually harass, molest or rape a female as not….even more likely than not.

Last year I rescued two Afghan families and they were put up at the Crowne Plaza Hotel near the the airport. Polyculture was “supposedly” taking care of the welfare of the refugees. My two rescuees opted for Toronto/Mississauga. Polyculture reps were trying to insist that they go to BC. My rescuees refused. One day when my rescuee (the husband) went down to the lobby for something, two Polyculture reps almost immediately went and knocked on the door and got the wife and a daughter to sign some paper. When the husband got back, his wife told him what had happened. The husband called me and I advised him to go to their office which was on the same 4th floor and demand to see the document. I advised the husband to call me and he explained the contents of the paper. I slammed the Polyculture reps and told them (1) the two men had no right to go to the apartment when the husband was away and (2) they had no right to make the wife and daughter sign a document they didn’t understand. I called them every word in the English vocabulary and I instructed my rescuee to tear the document to pieces and I wanted to see via video that it was being done. Polyculture never helped my rescuees with documentation works
I would not be surprised if Polyculture has done some real nasty things. They have taken advantage of the most vulnerable. A full investigation should be launched and they should be charged and the organization should be permanently shut down.
Polyculture was contracted by Trudeau’s government and is paid to help resettle hundreds of refugees in Ontario. However, they haven’t done a whole lot as far as I’ve heard. Another waste of our tax dollar toward a non good criminal organization.

I’m sure you meant well, but is “rescuing” Muslims flooding into the West a wise thing?
James Lincoln says
Yes, gravenimage.
Certainly, in these cases, the “road to hell is paved with good intentions”.
What one might perceive as “doing good things” can have very negative consequences.

“I rescued.” Do you know their records or their future and are you willing to pay the price for all the future harm any of them may inflict? Let’s send you to serve any sentence handed down, alongside the offender. Are you going to reimburse taxpayers for any of this and did you get their individual consent? And in Canada, women, surprise, can sign contracts. This may be a problem again. I see the man attempted to avoid the consequences of Canadian legal status for women by leaving those half-humans locked away. I wonder if “rescuers” ponder any of this.
Hoi Polloi says
And just how do “rescuees” refuse, as non-citizens fully dependent on taxpayers, to go where they’re directed? Here, they’re getting accommodated in a manner vastly superior to that which citizens will ever receive from the taxpayer. Do you have any thoughts on that? What does the family consist of? Any child “brides?” Are you setting up their little girls to be sold off in Canada? Do you ask?

Don’t you realise by helping muslims this way you are contributing to the destruction of the west. They are here to destroy and impose their evil creed upon us, every last one of them.
Sorry if my words sound harsh but I speak the truth.
