Only two months after Shi’ite Iran and Sunni Saudi Arabia resumed ties in a China-brokered deal comes the announcement of another brokered deal to normalize relations between Turkey and Syria. This deal is being heavily negotiated by Russia, which produced the roadmap, even though a committee is being formed among the foreign ministers of four countries involved, Russia, Turkey Iran and Syria. Moscow is Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s main ally. Assad was also invited “to attend the Arab League summit in Saudi Arabia on May 19 in a major sign that the regional isolation of Damascus has thawed.”
Russia’s Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov stated that he views Moscow’s role “not only in consolidating politically the progress that has been made, but also in determining general guidelines for further movement.” Already, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan is planning a presidential summit with Syria’s Assad.
As for Iran’s role, the Shia regime remains as obsessed as ever about American decline. Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian welcomed “the start of the talks between Syria and Turkey,” while discussing “the transition process in the world order” and “the decline of American power.”
An America governed by the Biden Administration has strengthened the red-green axis in pursuit of new alliances, new undisclosed plans and America’s further decline. We see the leaders of that axis here striking the iron while it’s hot.
“Russia offers roadmap to mend Syria-Turkey ties,” AFP, May 10, 2023:
MOSCOW: Russia on Wednesday proposed a roadmap to normalise ties between Syria and Turkey at the first meeting of their foreign ministers since the start of the Syrian civil war over a decade ago.
“Our task is to determine the general guidelines for further progress,” Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said at the meeting that also included Iran’s top diplomat.
“The best result of our discussion today would be an agreement to instruct experts to prepare a draft roadmap for Syrian-Turkish normalisation for the next ministerial meeting,” he said.
Lavrov said this proposal could then be put to the leaders of Russia, Iran, Syria and Turkey.
Turkey supported early rebel efforts to topple Syrian President Bashar Al Assad, keeping a military presence in northern stretches of the war-torn country that angers Damascus.
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has made up with former rivals across the region and is now courting a presidential summit with Assad.
Lavrov also said Syria and Turkey should begin discussions on repairing transport and logistics “and resuming trade and economic cooperation without any barriers”.
Kremlin mediation would give President Vladimir Putin diplomatic clout with Russia isolated internationally over Moscow’s offensive in Ukraine….

Right now, in the Turkish elections, one of the main opposition leaders who’s contesting against Erdogan has said that NATO moving its borders eastwards is as much a threat to Turkey as it is to Russia
I hope he wins & yanks Turkey out of this alliance that they never belonged in, least of all where it is today
As far as both these treaties go, looks like the Middle East – sans Israel – will become a single bloc again, thanks to both Beijing & Moscow

They all hate Christians and the West. They are all worshipping a pedophile prophet from the 7th century. They completely eradicated the Christians in Anatolia. Christians are hardly even 0.1% of the population of Turkey yet muslims are growing in the West.
Let’s pray for Christians stuck in that oppressive Turkey, and act, of course.
