Not only has America lost its influence globally, but its borders are open to any and every hostile force that chooses to enter — not only its Southern border, but it is also open to hostile forces via lax policies.
Scroll down to page 12 of the AKP’s FARA filing, which is included in the report below. It not only “reveals a funds transfer of millions of dollars from Turkey to purchase a property in Washington, D.C.” but it also shows an itinerary of meetings between the AKP and US government representatives and personnel.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s ambition is a global caliphate in the form of a revived Ottoman Empire. The country’s expansion on American soil “is not only aimed at facilitating lobbying of the US Congress but also at establishing a stronger presence in US Muslim communities.” Turkey is also a strong supporter of the Muslim Brotherhood, of which Hamas is an offshoot. Given the long list of unindicted co-conspirators in the largest terrorism funding trial in the history of America, Turkey is clearly allied with unsavory elements.
“Turkey’s Islamist rulers expand their influence operations in the US,” by Abdullah Bozkurt, Nordic Monitor, August 3, 2023:
Turkey’s ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP), which is rooted in political Islam akin to the Muslim Brotherhood ideology, has been expanding its influence operations in the US. The party recently purchased a multimillion-dollar, four-story building in Washington, D.C., to intensify its lobbying activities on behalf of the country’s one-party rule.
In disclosures filed under the Foreign Agent Registration Act (FARA), Halil Mutlu, a cousin of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan who represents the AKP in the US, informed the Justice Department about the purchase of a 19th-century row house on New Hampshire Avenue NW for $4.5 million.
The money for the building’s purchase was transferred from AKP headquarters on March 17 to an account maintained by the AKP at a US bank.
The AKP is primarily funded by taxpayer money. In their latest income declaration in 2019, the AKP reported having 514.7 million Turkish lira, equivalent to approximately $86.5 million at the then-prevailing rate of exchange. They utilized the entire amount for their activities that year. Astonishingly, 87.5 percent of all the AKP’s income came from the Treasury.
This year the AKP received a significant increase in funding, with 653.8 million Turkish lira provided by the Treasury, representing a staggering 95 percent spike from the 2019 figure.
The AKP is currently leasing office space at 300 New Jersey Avenue NW. It is not yet clear when it will move to recently acquired building, located at 1621 New Hampshire Avenue NW in the historic Dupont Circle neighborhood, where many embassy buildings are located……..
Hoi Polloi says
The attack on US citizens in DC by Turkish thugs who’d been brought along by Erdogan should have been the final act by any Turk ever in regards to the US. Diplomatic and every other tie should have been instantaneously severed.
Ignoring actions such as those and our government’s hatred of its citizens are of a full piece.

GreekEmpress says
The Turks weaseled their way into Germany using the same methods.
But our leaders don’t care. Too many elite captures in our government.
Owned by China, Turkey, and who knows how many other countries?
࿗Infidel࿘ says
And those 2 countries – not Russia – are our leading enemies. China, w/ geopolitical goals that exceed even that of the Soviets back in the day, and Turkey, which is trying to resurrect both a Turkic empire (now symbolized by the Organization of Turkic States) and an Ottoman caliphate (showcased by Turkey’s alliance w/ Azerbaijan, the Palestinians, Pakistan, Malaysia, Somalia and Yemen)
During the Cold War, had the Soviet government succeeded in recruiting such lobbying companies, those people would have been tarred and feathered – sorta like Trump & Russia. But here we have Turkey and China making such inroads, & nobody cares. A day will come when we’re on the cusp of war w/ one or both (similar to Russia right now), and hopefully, we’ll then fry all these traitors who let them in
At least Pennsylvania voters were smart in rejecting Dr Oz. Will the GOP get the message?
Tony Fernandes says
Are you sane Dr. Oz is a Republican and a loyal citizen and you endorse the lunatic that defeated him.
gravenimage says
Tony, Oz made much of becoming the first Muslim Senator. This is *not* indicative of his being a loyal citizen.
Tony Fernandes says
i would take Oz any day over Joe Biden George Soros Adam Schiff Hunter Biden
gravenimage says
Admittedly it wasn’t much of a choice, Tony. I still think that enabling Islam is generally even worse than electing leftist loons. Just my take on things.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Tony, Dr Oz has loyalties to Turkey that he refused to address during the primaries. As a private citizen, it’s his business & no one else’s. However, as a senator, it is fair to ask him how his dual-citizenship w/ Turkey would affect how he’d vote on Turkey-related issues. Such as any resolutions on Turkey’s conflicts w/ Armenia, Cyprus, Greece or Israel
Tony Fernandes says
There are degrees of Islamism and that is something we should address – would you prefer a Turk or a Somali being your neighbour okay you voted for having the Turk as a neighbour. Somalia which really should be termed the shithole of Africa has more than 200,000 of its citizens living in the US most of whom ought to be deported like Ilhan Omar they hate America – at least a dozen volunteered to fight for Islamist groups that hate the US.
Linde B. says
No criticism intended but this article should have stated any U.S. Foreign Aid $ that Turkey gets. It is my opinion that US politicians bestow $ on countries so that
those countries’ top politicians can get a mansion by the shore or near the mountains of their country. I am firmly convinced that US Foreign Aid $ does not go where it is supposed to go, and there is no follow-up. 🤪😭
I also wish this article mentioned those US politicians who are showing favorable support to Turkey and Erdogan. 😝😈
gravenimage says
Turkey got $7.2 billion from the US last year, almost 1% of their GDP.
Linde B. says
To gravenimage- WOW! I am stunned and shocked to learn this. Thank you for giving us here at JihadWatch this information. It is just unbelievable. I definitely do not approve
and I think the people in Washington DC
who are both elected officials and those who
are career workers in the various government agencies such as Treasury, Health and Human Services, etc. should be
required by law to have studied and passed
at least 5 courses in Economics. That is not
unreasonable. Most of these elected officials
and many government workers are lawyers, and lawyers = loopholes. (Apologies to Wellington, as he has financial sense and moral integrity.)
Again, thank you gravenimage.
gravenimage says
Thanks, Linde–and that’s just one Muslim country. I shudder to think how much of our tax dollars are going to fund Jihad. Then, consider all the rest of the aid from the rest of the West–we are paying for our own destruction.
somehistory says
Gordon Chang on FOX with Steve, said that the chinese gov is buying up farm land near U.S. bases and is doing so to prevent access to those bases as well as to control food production.
Before long, no American citizen will own anything.
Linde B. says
To somehistory- I am not sticking up for the foul, barbaric, communist government of China for 1 second. But isn’t there something called “The Right of Eminent Domain” in our US Constitution, which states the US government has the right to purchase land or buildings or a site from a party of it is within the US national and security interests to do this?
Linde B. says
Correction- If it is within, not: of it is within.
somehistory says
Yes, there is that Law….It has been often used, even when it has nothing to do with “security” interests, but just because a big business wants the property and the little guy doesn’t want to give up his home.
But with biden and crew in-debt to china, will the government take any of the land back?
Linde B. says
To somehistory- I wish I had a crystal ball, but I do not. And I do not understand why the Biden administration does not tell China that they cannot buy up US farm land. Everyone who comments on this website should write a polite, brief letter to President Biden on the website: “Contact the White House”. I will do that now and tell him that China must be stopped from buying up any more US farmland.
somehistory says
Linde, I’m glad you do not have a crystal ball. ‘foretellers of events”…not a good thing to be.
As for as writing to biden, I have a strong hunch your letter will reach only the round file on the floor. Or a big delete key if you send electronically.
There is a plan afoot and he’s a big part of it; as is china.
Linde B. says
To somehistory- I did email President Biden telling him I was sad that China was buying up US farmland, and that I did not hate any person or group of people but I did hate the evil ideology of the Chinese government.
I also stated that I thought the Chinese government was the prototype of “Big Brother Is Watching You” from George Orwell’s book “1984”.
I asked if President Biden could do something with the US Congress to stop China from buying up the land, and I told him that I had prayed for him, Jill Biden, plus their children and grandchildren every morning.
somehistory says
Good for you, Linde. It’s great to have hope and to pray for those in power, as Paul instructed. Miracles are still possible, when God wants to perform them.
Blougeoisie says
It’ll be funny when America goes communist and nationalizes it
gravenimage says
The US seizing all land sold to China by Eminent Domain is difficult and usually done in cases where the government needs to build roads or hospitals. Better not to sell land to our enemies in the first place.
James Lincoln says
somehistory,
I’m sure that China would not allow US citizens to purchase large tracts of land near Chinese military bases!
somehistory says
James Lincoln,
Mr. Chang said that china doesn’t allow Americans to own **any** land in china. So, def not any near their bases.
Kind of like mozlums building their barracks for war everywhere, but not allowing churches to be built in their mozlum controlled nations.
Linde B. says
To somehistory- Thank you very kindly for your encouraging words. 🤗
The 1 aspect of politics that I do not “get” (or understand) is that many politicians and heads of state feel and believe they are elites and do not suffer the consequences of what the majority of their voters or subjects do. That is very hypocritical and they better wake up. The first person who comes to my mind is Emanuel Macron of France. His country is beautiful and inspiring in so many ways, but he definitely is not. 🧛

Americans have let in hundreds of thousands of Somalis and other radical Muslims into the country Somalis never assimilate and like Ilhan Omar make it a point to criticize the country and you are concerned about one Turkish transaction.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
They have been doing this for a while. Florida & South Dakota have banned them, but I’m not sure that other states have. One more question for the governors of Montana, North Dakota, Iowa and other farm states
Linde B. says
To Infidel- I want to call those governors and hear what answers they give.
I will report back to this website after getting an answer (or no answer.)
࿗Infidel࿘ says
Thank you Linde, look forward to reading what you report
gravenimage says
Thank you, Linde. I doubt they will respond, but would like to hear.
Linde B. says
To gravenimage- I will write here at JihadWatch whatever comments they give.
Reziac says
I know there was a bill floated here in Montana to prohibit acquisition of farmland by hostile foreign powers, but don’t know what’s become of it (this was recent).
Linde B. says
I read the attached PDF and the meetings
were held between February 9, 2023 and
March 9, 2023 with the following mentioned US Senators: Bob Casey, Cortez Masto,
Dan Sullivan, Mike Braun, Joe Manchin,
Mike Lee, Feinstein, Kelly, Ernst.
It would be great to know the reactions of these elected officials to this “Justice and Development” party, also known as “AKP”.
࿗Infidel࿘ says
The Republicans in that group – Mike Lee & Mike Braun – should be asked why! And primaried if they fail to give a proper answer. Dr Oz’s defeat should have taught the GOP something about playing footsie w/ Turkey
Linde B. says
To Infidel-Very good point.

Senator Dianne Feinstein was for sanctions on Turkey in 2019. Nothing specific I can find on AKP.

The Ministry of Religious Affairs of the Republic of Turkey also owns a large office complex in Virginia just outside the District of Columbia. Why does the Turkish government need such an office within the territory of the USA? Does it enjoy immunities of diplomatic status?
