It is premature to discuss what happens “the day after” in Gaza, that is, the day after Hamas is crushed as a fighting force. Yet the Bidenites clearly have their hearts set on the Palestinian Authority replacing Hamas in Gaza, despite the PA’s record of corruption, mismanagement, and undisguised hostility to Israel, recently demonstrated in its praise for Hamas’ October 7 attack. Instead, the Americans should try to find another party to run Gaza, and should do so, in collaboration with Israel, which knows a good deal more than the Americans about the real intentions of various Palestinian groups, both in Gaza and in Judea and Samaria. More on the folly of suggesting that Mahmoud Abbas and his henchmen could just “take over” the management of Gaza can be found here: “Can the Palestinian Authority Be ‘Revitalized’? Can the Cat Guard the Cream?,” by Bassam Tawil, Gatestone Institute, December 5, 2023:
The Biden administration is continuing to promote the idea of having a “revitalized” Palestinian Authority (PA) govern the Gaza Strip after the Israel-Hamas war. US President Joe Biden and Secretary of State Antony Blinken used the phrase “revitalized Palestinian Authority” to express support for placing the Gaza Strip, currently ruled by the Iran-backed Hamas terrorist group, under the control of the PA, headed by Mahmoud Abbas. On December 2, Vice President Kamala Harris became the latest official to promote the idea that “we have to revitalize the Palestinian Authority” to prepare it for ruling the Gaza Strip after the war.
What does “revitalize” the Palestinian Authority mean? Does it mean getting rid of the 88-year-old corrupt dictator Mahmoud Abbas and his loyalists, and replacing them with new leaders? And how would that be done? Would Abbas, and Mohammed Shtayyeh, and the rest of the retinue in Ramallah simply resign and allow the Americans a veto over who should replace them? Why would the Palestinian Authority be willing to be replaced?
The White House has further suggested that Palestinians “should be the determining voice” in who governs them.
The Palestinians already had a determining voice. They elected Hamas. According to public opinion polls, even in the West Bank, under the supposedly moderate Palestinian Authority that pays people to murder Jews, Palestinians would elect a terrorist regime once again.
The hush-hush secret of the Middle East is that the Palestinians, even more than they want a state — which they have been offered several times and rejected without even a counteroffer — want to obliterate Israel. The Hamas Charter is centered on it; sadly the Palestinian Authority promotes the identical goal (here, here, here and here). Also, according to the PLO’s 1974 “Ten Point Plan” of phases, any land the Palestinians acquire is to be used to get the rest.
Is the White House aware that in the latest opinion poll, 76% of Gazans support Hamas, not despite, but because, of the atrocities it carried out on October 7? Wouldn’t these people re-elect Hamas — that last won a vote in 2007 — overwhelmingly? Maybe it would be better not to hold elections which would end in such a victory for the terror group, but opt instead for a government of technocrats to be imposed by the rich Arab states that would also be spending tens, or perhaps hundreds, of billions of dollars to reconstruct Gaza, and therefore have a legitimate claim to ensuring that their money is well spent by choosing the people who will be dispensing it. Wouldn’t the people of Gaza, benefiting from this enormous influx of aid, be willing to embrace such an arrangement, where the donors also choose the Palestinians — technocrats all — whom they think can most effectively, and least corruptly, govern the Strip?
The Biden administration has yet to explain what exactly it means when it talks about a “revitalized Palestinian Authority.” Is it referring to the need to implement massive financial and administrative reforms in the PA? Or is it talking about the need to get rid of the current leadership of the PA, including the 87-year-old Abbas [he is now 88], who is now in the 18th year of a four-year term in office? Or, perhaps, the Biden administration has in mind dismantling the PA, which currently rules over parts of the West Bank, and establishing a new governing body?
Before discussing whether the Palestinian Authority can, or is willing, to return to the Gaza Strip from where it was expelled in 2007 by Hamas, it is crucial to ask: If the Biden administration believes that the PA should be “revitalized,” why didn’t Biden and Blinken demand that from Abbas and the Palestinian leaders a long time ago? If the PA needs to be revamped, in one way of another, why have Biden administration officials not been holding regular meetings with PA leaders? Moreover, if the Biden administration believes that the PA, in its current structure, is incompetent, why has it been urging Israel to strengthen Abbas and his cohorts rather than whatever non-corrupt Palestinians it can find?…
The Bidenites should stop going to Ramallah to urge the Palestinian Authority to “revitalize” itself and start talking to Abu Dhabi and Riyadh about the “day after” the guns fall silent in Gaza.

If they need an example, they could look at Iraq and even afghanistan. Did not the U.S. have fingers in those evil pies, deciding who would “govern” the mozlums in those nations?
What business does the U.S have in deciding who will run Gaza….which is a part of Israel? Isn’t there enough evidence to suggest that mozlums will choose other mozlums to rule over them, and that when mozlums rule, the people suffer?
Not only do the people who select the mozlum rulers suffer, but in the case of Israel, the ones who don’t do the choosing, also suffer….as they did on Oct. 7.
Imagine a “Gaza” in ND, or AZ run by c.a.i.r…..the twin of hamas….with funding from U.S. taxpayers, and buying guns, building tunnels, etc. Or, since Gaza is a strip of land, CA run exclusively by c.a.i.r and given money by the federal government.
“revitalize” “imbue (something) with new life and vitality:” abbas is licking his ugly evil chops at the idea of more money, more land, more power. More dead Jews.

These types would revitalize Jeffrey Dahmer if they could.
With a track record like Ukraine, Afghanistan, Iraq, Iran, and Vietnam, one might think they’d fear failure. Big Guy et al. must get a cut.

I agree. I can imagine them getting some from Al Capone and his gang; ten percent off the top. They can get down in the sewer with the worst and still feel clean enough to sniff the babies’ hair.

Israel should just ignore what the Bidenites think, & complete the job in Gaza. Once done, take another look at Judea and Samaria, and restart Jewish settlements first in Gaza, and if others object, expand them into Judea and Samaria

Yes, Infidel.
And kick out every last muslim.
Yes, every last one – and no work permits, etc.

Send a governing committee of Leftist Jews like Bernie Sanders & Judith Butler.
A well-armed security detachment of Crips, Bloods, Gangsta Disciples and MS 13 would keep order.
What could go wrong?

I noticed that Biden is getting real close to Abbas, in order to get a good “sniff”.

The Palestinian Authority is as CROOKED as Biden, who will probably get a kick back on the millions of American tax dollars donated to the P.A.
