The latest departures further signify the unraveling of Rishi Sunak’s globalist government. This has taken place over many issues, including open-door migration via the English Channel, and the related national security threat, as well as the economy. Conservatives-in-name-only usually remain in power when there is no other option for their support base. We can only hope that a genuine conservative will arise as a possible new leader in the UK.
“Exit of two more Tory ministers forces Sunak into mini-reshuffle,” by Pippa Crerar, Guardian, March 26, 2024:
Two Tory ministers have quit the government in a double blow to Rishi Sunak, who has been forced to carry out a mini-reshuffle of the junior ranks.
The veteran MP Robert Halfon unexpectedly announced he would step down as education minister and would be leaving the Commons at the next general election.
The armed forces minister, James Heappey, who had already said that he planned to go, confirmed he had left his role at the Ministry of Defence in advance of standing down.
The pair join a growing exodus of Conservative MPs from the Commons as the party languishes in the polls, with Keir Starmer’s Labour party expected to enter government after the election this autumn.
Halfon becomes the 63rd Tory MP to say they will not stand in the next election, with Theresa May and the former cabinet minister Brandon Lewis confirming their departures in recent weeks. Four former Conservatives who now sit as independents are also leaving, meaning that just over a fifth of the Tory MPs elected in 2019 are quitting.
Ministers who declare they will stand down at the election do not have to leave government immediately, but prime ministers generally want a team that is gearing up to fight the election rather than counting the days until they go…..

Rishi was running the govt like an old wine in new bottle. He made no material difference to the governance. Same globalist, Satan worship through diversity, cultural enrichment through the vilest people on earth, same boat mafia and what not. I am afraid too many ex-PM’s are queuing up for pension funds of the UK. Very costly affair as UK continues to grope in the dark, with hardly any good leader in the horizon.

The way I read him, he’s UK’s version of Nikki Haley, had she (god forbid) been elected POTUS. We were lucky to intercept her, w/ the party establishment having no say in her election. Unfortunately, Sunak was forced upon the party after Liz Truss’ support got pulled
I’m rooting for Britain First to win the next election. I wonder what John Allan and Mike would think of me 😈

Tim, That would be tragedy too for the UK. Labor will hobnob with EU and other Left forces. Hope that doesn’t happen.

Thanks Infidel,

IT sounds as if these MPS have decided to desert the sinking ship because Labour are predicted to win the next election. Maybe they have been given other job opportunities and so they leave a tired old government before it loses the election. The UK is surely in even bigger trouble when Labour get into power. Labour are bound to be even worse.

I guess Mr. Halfon actually is half off.

It looks like Labour will get in. Not that they are much better than Rishi Sunak but people have very short memories. The economy seems to be in the doldrums, he has brought in 2 old members, Cameron and Jeremy Hunt, to bolster his chances, neither of which has been exactly exiting, and the saga about the cross-channel illegal immigrants has been disastrous. Our system of government is broken. We need something better. Braverman is a case in point; if she had been allowed to do as she wished she would have begun to solve the problem of illegal immigrants. Also Sunak is bowing a little too much to the Islamists in our country, They make up 5% yet when they want something they get it. There are Ramadan lights in Manchester and London yet many towns no longer have Christmas lights. English workers are not allowed to eat too close to Muslims during Ramadan. And what will the illegal immigrants be eating during Ramadan? Well, it won’t be Pork.
