Hungary has long been a monkey wrench in the ambitions of EU globalists. Most notable has been its longtime resistance to open-door immigration, which has seen millions of unvetted Muslim migrants pour into the EU. And the flow hasn’t let up. But now, the spotlight on Hungary has become its careful stance on Ukraine.
Hungary says European Union proposals to enact sanctions on Russian oil do not provide any guarantees for its energy security.
Anyone who questions the Russia-Ukraine war is dismissed Leftist-style as a Russian apologist. Ukraine also has accused Hungary of “helping Putin in the war.”
As the world threatens to be engaged into full-blown nuclear war over Ukraine, Russia is building its resources, expanding its options. It is now hailing oil and gas deals with China that are worth an estimated $117.5 billion dollars. China is also the world’s greatest energy consumer, and it is now reducing its dependence the EU, while the EU has no plan in place to supply its population. Hungary’s questions are valid, as usual.
China, meanwhile, is watching astutely as the West loses its footing, being conditioned for decades to react emotionally first, investigate later. China is well aware of its damage potentiality to its Western rivals— from its Gain of Function research labs to its ability to devastate the Western economy if it decides to follow suit and invade Taiwan. China is calculating, and knows that it will likely drag America into intervention, adding further strain on America’s already depressed economy, which is spiraling further downward thanks to its unmanaged Southern border’s massive influx of illegals, the COVID crisis, and scarce resources being poured into Ukraine in the billions; not to mention the obvious absence of leadership under Biden. America is so decrepit, in fact, under the Biden administration that China has begun “beefing up its combat aviation infrastructure across from Taiwan as invasion fears grow.”
As threats continue to grow, the West gets sucked into the Russia-Ukraine crisis more every day, with Leftists determined to control news sources and information. Very important alternative information gets lost in the fray, all while Russia builds its relationship with China and Iran, and the West sinks further into ineptitude and fewer resources.
Hungary stands apart in balancing its domestic realities with global struggles.
Western countries are now so obsessed with the Russia-Ukraine war in their state of upheaval that they continue to forget their own crumbling COVID economies and suicidal immigration policies, allowing the threats of jihad and violent antisemitism to grow inside Western borders.
The worst human rights abuses in the Middle East, and the genocide against Christians in Africa by Muslims, meanwhile, are also being ignored as the global jihad escalates. Who cares about them, is the message conveyed to jihadists and China. The red-green axis does not dance to Western tunes, but manipulates the West and is taking advantage of its golden opportunities.
And while Ukraine demands everyone else boycott Russia, it is making billions from Russian gas, despite media spin.
Naftogaz, Ukraine’s state owned gas company, continues to transport millions of cubic meters of Russian gas to Europe, and the benefits it receives from doing this are enormous. It is also the largest taxpayer generator and produces 15% of the state budget.
Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto has reiterated that “it is physically impossible to operate Hungary or the Hungarian economy without Russian oil.” Ukraine apparently agrees in action, but not in public appeals.

Ukraine happens to be right about Hungary on this one, and it’s worth noting that Hungary has not been one of the favorite places for Ukrainians to flee to: that has been Poland and Romania
Hungary is a hero on opposing the EU, but otoh, they are too pally w/ both Turkey and China, not to mention Russia

I have to agree with you here, Infidel, even though Hungary is right about Islamic immigration being a threat.

It is good to know that the communists that ruled Hungary form most of my life were unable to kill off all the smart and capable people there.
